Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton is studying in Malaysia. Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 29 June 2026

Wow we survived this week. Junmar is in Malaysia and life goes on here in the Motherland. I am really trying to get rid of some old wood and old projects while I got some time on my hands between meetings. Making smaller cars with bits of wood that I saved, is not easy. Toinette is making sure that I do not buy new wood and that’s why I want to make a dent in all these bits and ends that are laying around here. I need to come up with a couple of new designs and hopefully the children would enjoy them.

I am not sure why Sundays are such a hard day to be here ? Normally it’s a day packed with emotions about family. In the week things can go on but over the weekends we are longing to be home with our family or being home with Anton for a bit. He phoned last night and we had to encourage him again to do as good as he can in his studies. He shared that he was thinking a lot about Gideon recently and that made him sad. Please pray for him as he also go through a lot of emotions.

The Acts program gathered the parents together this weekend to talk about Parenting Generation Z  Twans did a teaching with the parents discussing how our childhood differs from the younger generations with the internet etc. They also looked at how discipline differs from punishment and ways in which we can establish boundaries to keep our children safe. Most of the parents joined in the group discussions. One mother said the big difference for her is when she was young and did not know how to cook noodles she would go and ask her mother and then they would cook noodles together. Now her child just looks it up on YouTube and do it herself. Afterwards we all shared a meal together. The parents brought food to share as well and it was good to see them fellowship with each other and encourage each other.

Thank you very much for reading so far. May God bless you in this week.

Love

Rossouw-clan
