Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton is studying in Malaysia. Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 4 January 2021

Dear family and friends,

Started off the New Year with an even greater awareness that "We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps".(Proverbs 16:9) We pray for you, to continue to put your trust and hope in the Lord. We really want to thank each one of you for faithfully praying and supporting us in the past year.

We celebrated Christmas first with the staff of FGC Community Link on the 27th. We decided not to make a lot of food this year, just something special. Everyone had a chance to give thanks to God for the previous year. Listening to the young Khmer students, we were touched by their humility and gratefulness for even the smallest things. We realized once again that we are each other's family.  Each one of us had to make a Christmas Accessory that was bigger than the size of your hand. A friend of mine wrote this after seeing the photos "It was so nice to see you all having so much creative fun. In this time where 'just pure fun is so rare, everyone needing screens and drinks to 'get over 2020'."

We've been laying low, keeping at home most of the time. Twans and Gideon had a slight cough and cold but both are doing better now. The Ministry of Education gave the go-ahead for schools to open up again so we are excited to begin classes again at the Acts center in the village. Some students might not return as they now have found outside work during all the lockdowns and it is difficult for the families to give up the extra income to send the child back to school again. We continue to do home visitation and encourage the students to return to school. Anton is happy to go back to school as well. We are still waiting for Gideon's year 10 books to arrive from Australia.

Mordegai is very thankful that he can go again on outreach this Wednesday to the villages in Kampong Tom. Please pray for protection during the travel and each person they help and guidance from the Holy Spirit. For the relationships being built and some quality time with the Christian families, they visit with.

We ask your prayer as well for a young friend of ours who was in a motorcycle accident. He broke his clavicle and some ribs and 2 vertebrae in his neck. His mother shared with us that his wife is leaving him and he is talking suicidal thoughts. He does not walk with the Lord.

Our friends from SA , Henk, and Liezl, who works in Phnom Penh also asks your prayer for his sister back in SA who has Covid 19 and his mom has bronchitis pneumonia.

For our people back home in Namibia, may this wet rainy year bring blessings to you all who were affected by the terrible drought? We praise the Lord for the beautiful rain. Remember as a kid to play in the rain and when grownup we did the same. Remember the animals running around with joy, was always one of my favorites. Watching the rivers in our town come down with the first waters was the highlight for the whole town, young and old. I can just imagine what farmers are doing now……

May this 2021 be full of new blessings and new joy.

Blessings,

Rossouws
