Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton is studying in Malaysia. Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 24 August 2020

Good evening dear friends and family

Last week was “Belated Khmer New Year”. They are trying to boost local tourism so the whole of Phnom Penh was here in Siem Reap. The streets were jam-packed with very expensive looking cars and lots and lots of people. We tried to stay home most of the time and had lots of visitors. We were blessed to have the family from Kbal Domrey here with us for 2 days. They have housed Mordegai so many times over the years, so it was a privilege to have them here and being able to cook for them for a change. They also know our boys from when they were small and loved hanging out with them. I was thinking about how faithful God has been over all these years. We have been blessed by very precious relationships, in the Philippines and nowhere in Cambodia.

School started today for Anton. He could not join today as he has been very sick for the past 3 days. High fever and painful body and throat. We know our boy is sick if there are tomatoes leftover in the fridge. He’s not been eating but keeping hydrated at least. Please pray for his healing.

They still do online schooling and need to be at the computer in the morning. I am busy recovering from this Chinkungunya virus and all that is left over is sore and painful joints. My strength is slowly coming back and I hope to be back doing outreach next week. Lots of people are sick now either with Chi or Dengue fever. Our helper’s husband and child have Dengue. I am trying to spray with the fogger but is not sure it helps a lot as we are surrounded by standing water.

We are going through the book of Philippians in our Women’s Bible study and looked at Chapter 4:6-7 this week. “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplications with thanksgiving let your request be made known to God, and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. “

The young boy with the tumors passes away. Our friend shares that the father wants to learn more about Jesus and wants to come to church. Our hearts were so sad for this family, but we also rejoiced that even though their son was not healed, they still want to learn more about Jesus. A reminder to all of us to keep on being there for others, share and pray for them. No one is immune to the love of Jesus!

Love
