Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton is studying in Malaysia. Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 17 August 2026

Enjoying the coolness of a storm moving in, nice strong wind and dark clouds. I know that in some states in America that is not a good sign but thanks to God, here it is. I love this rainy season as the country side is lush green. Just saved a poor chicken from death as my stupid dogs thinks it is a great toy to play around with, haha, he survived to be killed another day.

Our good German friend, Holger and 3 boys came and visit us. We had them for 2 weeks and had countless nights of talks and fellowship around the table. Even our helper loved these guys as they love beer and she could make extra money selling the cans.

We went to visit the church in Rum Jopon with a day’s ride in and around the jungle. Curtis was back and with heavy jetlag he makes the trip looks easy. Lots of mud and water but the hearts of the people are even more open this time. Dim got requests for 3 more places to start a small church. We hope to get into the jungle 2x in a month now as the need for preaching the Gospel presents itself in such a wonderful way. Curtis shared that the church is doing very well and the members are growing stronger by the day. There were a lot more people in church this time as they had to wait for the medicines. Please pray for one lady with a permanent drunk of a husband. She is very discouraging and speak really bad about him. It is not good for the rest of the group. Pray that the husband can stop his drinking and contribute to the house hold.

Holger love the moment he got when we stopped at an older uncle that is a Christian and he encourage him to start a small church in his house. That is why we hope to visit more often so Dim can teach and encourage this uncle to start a small group. I just realize that we need to make more effort with these people in order for the Gospel to spread around faster. Dim shared that he already is starting to identify leaders amongst the members and we hope that in the future this little church can be on their own.

Please pray for Toinette as we made an appointment with a good OB Gyne in Phnom Pehn on this Thursday. There is a possibility that she needs to get a hysterectomy. We will go down to PP on Wednesday. We will keep you guys updated.

Praise God that Ria is doing well after they amputated his leg. He is still in hospital and they want to keep him there till he is healthy enough to get a prosthesis fitted.

Praise God the Warrens are on the mend as well , it’s only Chantel that is still under the weather but she is on recovery. We visited them yesterday and they are thankful for being better.

We thank God for all His Blessings He send our way. Toinette was sharing in church yesterday and it is a real blessing to be part of a small church that love the Lord. Thank you for praying for us and sharing to others the Love of our Lord. Be Blessed in this week to come.

Love

Rossouw-clan
