Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton is studying in Malaysia. Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 3 August 2026

Our little house is invaded by 4 Germans. We got 2 rooms and the boys need to sleep on the couches and floor. No problem for these guys. Late night talks and lots of coffee and off course beer for these guys. Germans do what they do best hahaha. We arranged for them to visit Dim in the province and accompanied him to the jungle for a visit to the church. We will go again the end of this week to the jungle but this time to do some medical as well. In the meantime, they are here and need to pack some meds in the evenings. Good to have our old friend Holger here and listen to all his wisdom as well.

It was an up and down week for poor Ria as 3 doctors’ advise him to amputate his leg and he did not want to. Dara, a good friend, went finally and convince him otherwise, yesterday and today they will go for it again. They already wanted to go home but thanks to prayers, Ria decided to be courageous enough to take on this adventure. I will keep you guys in the loop of what happens this week.  From Gordon: ”Just heard from the son that Donnie staff (Dara) visited this morning and talked with Ria - now he agreed to the amputation - PTL! Good work Dara. Sak said they already filled out the papers to discharge from the Hospital when Dara arrived. I had already arranged the bus for them tonight. So now they will continue at Russian Hospital (I presume). Watch this space. Let's trust God that he follows through with this courageous decision.”” Please pray for this family as this is a huge undertaking. He will need a lot of help afterwards but we believe it’s for the better good.

The poor Warren family got hid hard with Abraham and Krissie being sick with Dengue and Imorgen got Typhoid just not to feel out. Krissie was in the hospital the whole week but rest now at home. Both of them still need to rest for another week as these bugs play havoc in your body. Pray for this family as they experience some difficulties at this stage.

I had to bring Toinette to the doctor as well as she started to bleed. After an ultrasound and testing we now at least know what the problem is and need to observe it for a while. Nothing serious at this stage. We are getting at this stage of our lives where our body parts get old and need some attention once a while, like old cars.

Thanks for standing with us always and reading our blabbering every week.

Love

Rossouw-clan

Ps. Anton survived his first week as an intern, he was shocked that he need to work 8 hours a day, hahaha. Welcome to adult hood.
