Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton will finish this year with Grade 12. .Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 6 May 2024

Good evening dear family and friends,

We had 2 minutes of rain last night and it cooled down the air a bit. So thankful.  Like a real Namibian boy, I was in the rain to test it and thanked the Lord that the rainy season finally arrived. It was not enough to take a shower in like we did when we were young. On the farm, the water was so “brak” (salty) that we never could take a proper hair wash. Always feels like you wash your hair with sea water. So when it rained it was time for a great wash under the sky with fresh water.

I came back from outreach last week with a runny nose and it has since spread over to Twans and Anton. Hopefully, it will "run" its course and be finished soon. My dad always said a Cold lasts 7 days without meds and 1 week with meds.

Twans shares: This past Saturday all the parents of the ACTS students were invited to a meal at the Acts center in the village.  They were asked to bring their own rice and the Acts program provided a big pot full of Khmer curry. The parents had a great time getting to know each other and the teachers. The students made beautiful picture frames out of paper and we printed out a family photo of each. When we handed the picture frames to the parents it was special to see how much they appreciated it. They kept on looking at the photos and showing each other. Most families do not have a family picture, or we never see any in their homes.  I was thinking again how important it is to reach out to the family as well and not just the students. Family is an institution of God (hope I am saying this right) I think we are so focused on individualism but family is very important and we shouldn't neglect it.

We ask your prayer for one of the River Of Life Fellowship members: Ovaltine. The hospital sent him home as they can't really do much for him anymore and there is no more money as well. He is in a lot of pain. Please pray for him and his family. He is a believer and always eager to testify about God's goodness to him.

Thank you for praying for Anton. He is struggling to memorize everything for the coding part of his computer science exam. Nerves are increasing as the time for the exam draws near.

Please continue to pray for my friend in ICU. He woke up but still had a long road ahead of him.

Love you all
