Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton will finish this year with Grade 12. .Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 26 Feb.2024

Good Evening dear family and friends

Wow, there is no doubt left, we are entering the hot season. So thankful for fans and a cool breeze now and then.  It was a busy week and an even busier weekend and almost surprised we were on Monday evening again. We thank our Father for fellowship with Kurt and his team (Youth Reach leadership team) from the USA. Their words of encouragement and truth were needed and in God’s timing. Please pray for this ministry in the US, reaching out to youth with drug addiction problems.

Twans and the team from FGC Community Link took their High School students from the ACTS program on a field trip to Build Bright University. This was a great opportunity to show our students from the village what opportunities are there for them if they work hard. Our staff, who themselves joined our program at 14,15 years old, were sponsored for further study, and graduating could encourage the younger ones. Some of the students were not used to travel and got car sick, some experienced air con for the first time and struggled a bit. Praise God for a safe field trip. Please continue to pray for the High School students. 3 of them now join our Sunday program as well. Pray for their salvation.

On Sunday morning we looked at the story of the Good Samaritan and Twans did a very basic First Aid lesson with the kids. They enjoyed acting out the different scenarios. The highlight of the morning was breakfast. With donations, the ROL team can give them a nice breakfast now and then.

Continue to pray for Angela. Her operation was a success. Please continue to pray for her recovery to go smoothly.

Please pray for Toinette as well. Her cough is much better but she has a lot of phlegm in her lungs and she still trying to get rid of it.

Anton and I are reading an old-time favorite book:” Disappointment with God – by Philip Yancey”. This book is literally in pieces as Toinette was reading this years ago and throws it over the room multiple times. Philip Yancey is asking 3 questions that we do not normally ask:

Is God unfair?

Is God silent?

Is God hidden?

Of course, after some interviews with people who were asking these questions, he ends up with Job. Not that we want to read Job but it’s the best example in the Bible so far. No wonder Toinette was throwing the poor book across the room. Reading this book with a clever teenager makes for interesting talks.  It is an old book but worth reading.

Hear that Namibia gets rain? May the Lord give rain in abundance this year.

Love
