Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton will finish this year with Grade 12. .Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 18 December 2023

Good evening all

Must humbly confess that I forgot to do last Monday's Prayer. Seems that my mind is not with me anymore, too much stuff going on. This week everything is winding down to Christmas and at last my poor body can get some time to rest after a grueling trip into the jungle. Both Anton and I have some bruises to show. I broke some bones in my foot, already 3 weeks ago and Anton fell and got himself a “Cambodian tattoo”- nice burn on the leg. Toinette also got down with the bike in soft sand and got a nasty bruise on the leg. All good but stiff and sore.

We were quite a team this time going to the jungle. Some more guys joined us on our trip to bless the people. This trip was planned just at the right time as they already started to harvest their Cassava. So no people will be at home from now on and that was why he had to do a trip. The sand was relentless and made Anton and my bike a bit of trouble but after encouragement from Dad, Anton did it. Love this guy that he pushed through in the end and did this grueling trip with us. Like my mom says: “His tired was tired.”(sy moeg was moeg)

We took some Bibles and beautiful tracts that went like hotcakes. Everyone wanted to get their hands on that. So Curtis explained to them the first lesson and challenged them to read it and he will ask questions next time we will be there. It is so encouraging to see how people react to the Gospel after all these years of nothing. The Lord’s timing is always good. Julius who is a Physiotherapist, could help a lady who injured her knee pretty badly. Nice to have people with different skills with us.

We are looking forward to when we can get back there in the New Year and see how the people grew in the Lord. Pray with us as these are brand new Christians, or can I say they just heard about Jesus and still processing Him? Remember this is people that are strict Buddhist and know nothing about the Lord. For them to change is not easy and they need to make a real mind shift and some life-changing adaptions to accept Jesus as their one and only Savior.  We cannot put pressure on them and all we can do is to let the Holy Spirit work through them.

Please pray for the Might Kids and the River of Life Christmas party as they will invite many people to share the Gospel. Pray for open hearts and ears to receive the Love of our Lord.

We wish you all a Merry Christmas and we pray for a blessed time as families that come together. May this last bid of the year be a blessed time for you all.

Love

Rossouw-clan
