Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton will finish this year with Grade 12. .Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 6 November 2023

Good evening all

This last week was full of blessings. First I went with Donnie and his team from PCM plus Dr. Tim from the States, who is a regular by now. We have known each other for many moons now and love to do a few outreaches a year together. We went to 4 areas and they gave out medicines to the people while I gave some wooden cars to the children. Pastor John was ready to pray with people and we had a great time sharing God’s love with the people. It is always such a blessing to go on an outreach with these guys.

I waited in Kabal Domrey after they left for Curtis and his guys from Water of Life to join me in the jungle. On Saturday we got on our bikes and conquered the mud and water. Talking about pink eyes, wherever we came, people had pink eyes. It’s a pandemic here and everyone suffers with it. Luckily my eyes were almost healthy again and I was not the reason they got it haha. We got scolded because we did not come earlier. By now people want to see us more regularly as many are ill.

While having lunch, by 4 p.m., our host at Rum Jopon was talking to Curtis. I felt in my spirit that she really wanted to talk seriously with him. He shared it with me later. “She said that we are coming now for many years with medicine and the Gospel and then left again. It is time now that we stay a bit longer so they can hear about the Word of God. She and her husband are about 60-70% sure about Jesus and there are a lot of others who want to hear more. They want time so they can hear it all about this Jesus. “

Curtis was a bit caught off guard and said that he first wants to make sure our relationship and trust are in place before we push them in a direction. Her reply was:” Do not worry about the trust, Mordegai has been coming now for more than 10 years and we see you guys here all the time, we trust you.” Finally, a door opened so wide that we needed to respond to it. Pray that we can react in the coming weeks and go and tell them more in detail about Jesus. Pray for their hearts to be ready to receive Jesus into their lives.

Please pray for Nico Kriek’s wife, Elna. She is very weak and uncomfortable. Pray that her legs will get stronger. Now you need to struggle with the Medical Fund to pay, pray for the payment to be done by them. Pray for their next appointment with the Specialist.

Read cursorily through the four Gospels and the Great Commission looks like a sort of afterthought paper-clipped onto the end of the main body of Jesus’ teachings. As Dr. Winter pointed out, it is almost as if our Lord, after divulging everything that was really close to His heart, snapped His fingers and said, “Oh, yes, by the way, men, there’s one more thing. I want you all to proclaim this message to everyone in the world, regardless of his language and culture. That is, of course, if you have the time and feel disposed.” Did Jesus hit His disciples with the Great Commission cold turkey? Did He just spring it on them at the last minute without fair warning and then slip away to heaven before they had a chance to interact with Him about its feasibility? Did He fail to provide reasonable demonstration on ways to fulfill it? How often we Christians read the four Gospels without discerning the abundant evidence God has provided for an entirely opposite conclusion!
