Good evening all
Currently, Toinette is busy with their Monday Bible study group. This time they met here in our house. Nice to sit here and listen to the laughs of the woman in the kitchen. God is good to give us friends who care about each other. We need to help our friends better, that seems to be on my mind these days. It seems to me that we are in the last bid of the year and it is dragging people down. Talking to some of my friends, they seem tired, stressed, and burned out. We all are going through times like that but we need to reach out to the people around us and listen and encourage each other. Pray that we will get fresh breath from the Lord to continue our work, wherever we are.
With all the wars and Israel included now, things are looking really scary for many people. We are warned in the Bible that this kind of event will come and it seems we are in it. My heart hurts for all the innocent people that get killed and hurt in these events. I pray that we can get peace once more. We need to be careful not to fall into the trap of fear for the future. Rather we need to live in the light of Jesus. I know it’s hard but the only One who can do anything is the Lord. I rather put my trust in the Lord than in the hands of politicians and governments. We must be on our guard not to get consumed by all the End Time prophets as there are plenty now, rather live day by day and trust in the Lord.
Please pray for our friend Bev Jones in the States. She had a back operation and is currently home but struggles with pain.
Burma, southwestern China, and then—eastern India! Few Christians in other parts of the world know that two entire states of predominantly Hindu India—Nagaland and Mizoram—boast a higher per capita ratio of baptized Christians than any other area of equal size anywhere in the world! Churches in Nagaland, homeland of the approximately 2 million Naga people, embrace 90 percent of the entire population within their combined memberships! Mizoram, for its part, counts 87 percent of its entire population as church members. Mizo Christians have distinguished themselves in the past by sending 400 of their own Mizo missionaries into predominantly Hindu areas of northern India.
