Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton will finish this year with Grade 12. .Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 10 September 2023

I knew for a fact that we were going to have a heck of a day when the mighty KTM broke just as we got into the jungle. Turn around and be pulled back to safety while we rest continue on our way and they will play catchup. This time of the year the road is one mud pool till the end. The poor bikes got drowned several times but we made it to the Temple.

My good friend John started to present the Gospel to the people looking after the temple. He had time as we had to wait for Curtis and Kimloon. One thing for sure is that the Gospel will be preached today, Come hell or high water……. Everywhere we stopped John and Curtis evangelized the people, then we gave meds to them all. Everyone happy. Some of the children even got a wooden car, balloons, and lollipops.

Curtis shared with a group of women last time about Jesus and he said that this time around they were so happy and asked more about Jesus. They were very responsive and we could feel that the Lord was really working in their spirits. They also got a Bible and an Audio bible. The idea of people newly accepting Christ was so real right there. Curtis and John were true vessels in the hands of the Lord. Our stop in Rum Jopon was a joyful one as people already know about this Jesus and can associate with it but still have a long way to go. The family that help us there are Christians and that makes things even easier.

It’s always nice to stop there and get lunch served at 4 p.m. We were dead tired but so thankful. From there it was only another 1 hour before we came to our host for the night. I fell down badly and could barely walk but after a night’s sleep was up and going again. Poor Anton took a few bad falls and he was really tired. We made it back to the car the next morning just to discover that I dropped the keys in the jungle. Ugghh, broken window later, we got a spare from the car. Curtis’s KTM was dead meat and had to be put on the back of the truck and he had to take a truck back to Phnom Pehn. Lucky for Anton and me, our bikes were on the truck as they were broken as well. Kimloon’s bike also needed a mechanic badly.

We all made it home safely, thank you Lord for a really great outreach with such a huge impact on people. I am happy to say that these guys who came with me deserve a medal for bravery.

While we were in the bush, Toinette attended a seminar in town. She can tell you next time what it was about but it was good. They studied the Bible and specific passages on the weekend. Pretty intense and she said it was a great experience to learn more about the Lord.

Met a girl from my home town Windhoek, today for coffee. Made me homesick for a while. So nice to sit and chat in Afrikaans. Love to hear from you all.

Love
