Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton will finish this year with Grade 12. .Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 12 June 2023

It was time for us to get on the bikes and get to swim all the way to the jungle. The way is very wet and full of mud. My bike broke several times but at least we got it fixed. Just one of the many things we need to deal with when we decide to go bush. We had some mosquito nets, wooden cars, and some balloons and sweets for the children. Everyone was happy. It was precious to see the kids happy and playing with their new toys. People are always happy to get some meds as in the wet season lots of them get ill. We pray as mosquito season is here and with that, a lot of illnesses come along, like Dengue and Malaria.

There were special times like in a small little hut, with 4 women. They asked Kimloon and Curtis why we are doing this work. When they explain that we are Christian, they ask if they need to join our religion in order to get medicines and help. They explain to them that we are not forcing them to become Christians and do not expect them to join us but we rather want to serve them with love. Curtis said their attitudes totally changed after that. He and Kimloon could explain Jesus to them and they listened and asked questions. Just there in the most remote part of the trip in a small little hut. God is good.

We made it all the way to our overnight place. The old anti is very sick. Seeing these people, working themselves to death in order to live a simple life, is not easy to see. This lady is working herself into the ground every day in order to get enough gold to sell. There is no rest or relaxation as loans need to be paid. You cannot imagine that they need to take out loans to finance their business and then need to pay it back, with what??

Toinette is very busy with a team from Malaysia. They are helping out with the activities with the kids in the Acts program. They took food packs to an area we went to before and Toinette is saying that the people there are living in real poverty. It is a relocated area and people do not own land, so just live there in nothing. She was shocked to see the normal circumstances of the people. Pray with us for these poor people. It is nice to see such a lovely bunch of people from Malaysia.

Thank you all for praying for Srey Oun. I visited her just before I left for the jungle and when I came back I received news that she passed away. She was very sick but her positive spirit towards Jesus was so beautiful to see. I will miss seeing her. Pray for her family as her children are quite young.

We will be on the plane on the 15th of June. I guess we just need to take our passports and run as we are so busy this time. Looking forward to some cold weather and family. Seeing some of you beautiful people soon.

Love you all

Rossouw-clan
