Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton will finish this year with Grade 12. .Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night Prayers 7 Feb 2022

Good Evening dear family and friends

Our last Monday evening breathing in African Air before we start our journey back to Cambodia Saturday morning if God will.

During dinner a few nights ago Twans started crying saying it is hard to say goodbye and go back. Anton then took her hand and said: "Mom, just remember you have a family waiting for you there as well."  We are very thankful to our family here in Africa for all their love and care over this time. So many deep conversations, laughter,  crying and of course, eating together with so many sincere brothers and sisters. Our pastor, Dominee Thijs, spend a whole Saturday listening to us and encouraging us with words of truth and love. He continues to be an inspiration and example to us to " be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord."

Were thinking of this tonight and wanted to share it with you. Years ago we helped out in a Home for the Destitute and Dying. There were a lot of old people forgotten and left to die alone. We helped out with some primary health care. A few of them had a bad case of Scabies. We made a solution of oil and sulfur powder and would rub it into the affected areas that were very itchy but had no open sores yet. As we started rubbing the oil in, the patients would start saying that their other limbs were itchy too. Soon more and more old people joined us, complaining of Scabies. We realized they did not have scabies but they wanted to be touched. The smell of sulfur was overwhelming but their smiles were engraved into our hearts. Thank you, Jesus, for touching us, healing us.

Please pray with us for negative PCR test results here and upon arrival in Cambodia. For inner strength to face "home" without our Gideon. That we would seek God's guidance and direction in all our steps. That His name would be glorified, that it would be about Him, not us.

Love to all
