Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton will finish this year with Grade 12. .Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 15Feb.2022

Good evening everyone.

Sorry for this late writing as we had some internet problems and got it fixed tonight, or so we hope. Just to let you all know that we arrived here safely and by the skin of our teeth.

Johannesburg was our time for stress as the lady took her jolly old time with everyone, trying to print out their boarding passes. This was the first time ever they had to search through all our papers in order to clear us. Well, she took our vaccine cards and handed Toinette’s card but dropped it behind her computer into the cupboard, which was locked. Already tight with time she had to phone the maintenance guy, who was on lunch, this is Africa, remember. So time went by and the plane wanted to leave and we were still waiting. The head of the departure came running and finally, the guy appeared and open the cupboard and we could get our card.

We had to run as they already closed the gate. Everyone cheered us on and the ladies ran with us, or may I say walking, cause I am still coughing of this little exercise, they took off their shoes and were running bare feet with us. All of them cheered when we finally arrived at the gate. As we entered the plane they closed the door behind us. Man, that was close, and that over a vaccine card. We just realized that we really need some exercise of some form after this holiday.

It’s good to be back home even if it is overrun by rats and geckoes. So the cleaning already started. I took Anton out for his fav breakfast and o my, was that a nice one. Missed Gideon with us. He made such an impact on everyone as they ask me about him, everywhere we go. Sure feel strange without him as the dogs are not happy with us, they wanted to bite us when we came in, haha.

It was good to bring Anton to school and as they had a camp week, it was a fun time for him to settle in again. Excellent to see a happy boy. Please pray with us for the time coming as we need to do a lot of cleaning and sorting our lives out for the road ahead. We thank each of you who carried us through this difficult time. We are truly blessed to have so many friends like you. Thanks to all our Namibian friends and family for being there for us and keeping up with us, you are truly wonderful.

Love
