Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton is studying in Malaysia. Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 29 March 2021

Dear family and friends,

Read about Jesus entering the eastern gate and the people shouting “Hosanna”. Hosanna means “Save us “. Do we see ourselves in the crowd? Let’s take some time this week before Easter, to examine our hearts, what do we want to save from and what do we need to save from. Let’s confess our idolatry and unbelief and mixed-up priorities. At the moment reading a great book by Michael Card “A Sacred Sorrow: Reaching out to God in the lost language of Lament.

We are still in lockdown over here. More and more cases are reported and the government is doing its best to control the situation. Schools are also closed again. No travel allowed to some of the provinces.  We pray with you all as this thing really affects everyone around the world.

Twans and the staff are starting to do online classes with some of the students in the villages. They borrow their parent’s phones and join the class for an hour and a half every afternoon. Internet reception not so strong in the village but we do what we can to keep in contact with the students. This is also a time to learn new things. Twans is teaching the staff some basic needlework. They started sewing a drawstring bag last week and this week they will learn how to sew a face mask. All of the staff were so eager to learn how to sew. I think in our first-world upbringing we sometimes take all the opportunities to learn for granted. Here they are thankful for every bit you can teach them.

Mordegai spends some time with Petra and her staff from her NGO this afternoon to teach them a bit of woodwork.

Continue to pray with us for the healing of Noah, the girl with breast cancer. We are visiting her every day 2x but the wound is not looking good as I was expecting it to look at this time. Maybe my hopes are a bit high but it seems long already. Pray with us for healing. I had some of our staff there on Saturday and the girls had a great time talking and listening to Noah. Afterward, they prayed for her. We will try and do that more often. Healing comes in so many forms and visiting her and just listening to her is a form of healing as well. I firmly believe in the healing of the mind and in the heart. God works in so many ways.

Let us be faithful in our daily walk out there. Give love where love is needed and expect nothing back in return. Let us be like Jesus and give it all in order to join Him in heaven.

Love

Rossouw-clan
