Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton is studying in Malaysia. Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 23 Nov.2020

Good evening to all our dear family and friends,

Toinette went to a short women's retreat this morning with all the ladies from the bible study. We looked at Isaiah 30:15 "This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel says: 'Only in returning to me and resting in me will you be saved. In quietness and confidence is your strength. But you would have none of it." We spent some time praying and seeking God. Very thankful to be able to put time out to do this and just reflect on what lays our identity, in what we accomplish and do, or in who we are in Christ!

We are still doing classes in cluster groups at parent's homes as we still have not gotten a go-ahead from the ministry to open our Acts Centre. Hopefully, we will be able to open again. Please pray that we will not lose students over this time, where schedules are repeatedly changed. During home visitation parents also seem a bit overwhelmed on when is what class at school or in the village.

We also ask your prayer for Toinette as she is preparing to go and teach again in the north in Stung Treng with AOC this weekend. She will teach on Learning Disabilities, focusing on Dyslexia and ADHD, and some classroom strategies to help teachers cope with the diverse needs in their classes.

Here is a lot to pray for:

Please for Abraham and his family. They are missionaries here but are stuck in SA due to restrictions on this side.

We appreciate your prayers for us during this time. My sister, Lorna is 3 days already in the hospital and tested positive for Covid 19. My mother (81) then moved to my other sister. Whilst their mom showed symptoms of tiredness, couldn't stand on feet, and now have diarrhea. They waiting for the ambulance to take her to the hospital. Thanks for your prayers.

Please pray for Toinette. She is experiencing severe pain in her left foot and it’s even difficult to sleep in the night. Pray for complete healing after our fight with Chikungunya. Seems to me she is getting a rebound off it again.

Please still pray for my friend Mark and Jenny Fox and their family.

I am still sick with Covid. I would appreciate your prayers. Symptoms started Nov 9 and I tested positive Nov 10. I am not sick enough to be in the hospital but I still can't talk or breathe well at all. Thanks for your prayers!

Please pray for a good friend in Phnom Pehn, Dave and Natalie van Rooyen. Both of them got Dengue fever and still struggling to get rid of it. Not easy to be up when you are this sick and Dave found himself in hospital a few times because his platelets are low.

Continue to lift up Ds. Manus as he is getting his Chemo at this time. You can follow him on Facebook under Manus Olivier. He writes in Afrikaans, the Heavenly language, sorry about that hahaha. Please pray for him and send him encouragement, please.

Sjoe in this time of uncertainty it is not nice to be sick as well. We pray that God will lift you up onto high places in this time. Remember that Jesus is coming!! Hopefully soon.

Love

Rossouw-clan
