Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton is studying in Malaysia. Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 31 August 2020

We always say we want to switch the internet off for a while because the children are on it 24/7. Well, we did not have the internet for this last week, and believe me, this was an adjustment and a big one. It was nice in the sense that the boys were in our room all the time and we actually had some good times. Believe my school was not nice to Anton sick and he had to go to our office for the internet. All of us shouted hallelujah when the internet was working today. Back to business as usual.

Most of you by now know about our illnesses in the house. Well, yours truly is up and going again but the pain in the joints will be with me for many more months, according to some friends, great encouragement. Anton also got Chinkungunya and he was red like a tomato 2 days ago. He is fine now but Gideon looks like a tomato today. So he will be just fine, once the rash appears it’s over. Anton is still not interested in eating and we have a lot of tomatoes in the house. Pray with us that Toinette will be healthy.

I will be on the road again tomorrow but this time by bus and bike. Some of my friends will join me from Phnom Pehn and we will drive into the jungle to give people some medicine. Lots of people now are sick due to mosquitoes and the rainy season, bad combo. Roads are bad and lots of mud plus people are harvesting rice and tend to their farms a lot now. So being sick is a real burden. Please pray for our helper, Srey Mao. She and her whole family have dengue-fever and they are not living too far from us. Like some people say here: ”Cambodians are not afraid of Coronavirus but are afraid of Dengue, Chikungunya, and Malaria.”” Talking about the Virus. CAMBODIA COVID-19 – SITUATION UPDATE: August 31, 2020. CASES: 274, CURED: 266. We praise God for His provision at this time.

I must say, I am a bit concerned about the state of the world these days. So much hatred and bad politics going around and bad press or media, that we can be consumed by fear for all these things. Do not be mistaken, I follow all the events around the world as I want to know what is happening, I do not want to be caught with my pants down, a real Afrikaans saying hahaha. Events in the USA are really worrisome and so much that I advise a good friend to be careful not to get a heart attack by writing/fighting on social media about the situation at hand. I know it’s good for us to stand up for what we believe but on the other hand, must we get so fearful of all this that we do nothing. I believe God is the Answer to all of this. People need to turn to God again and follow His advice. Let’s pray tonight that things will look much better in the weeks to come. Let us put all our fears and problems at His feet.

Go out and do well to people around you. Here is a challenge. Love your neighbor/enemy as you love yourself.

Love

Rossouw-clan
