Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton is studying in Malaysia. Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 13 January 2020

I went down to Phnom Pehn for a dear friend’s wedding. It was such a nice Christian wedding and the way the Khmers do their traditions are beautiful. Everything is around the parents as the children need to honor their parents and ask forgiveness and where they get blessed by their parents. The most heartwarming part is when the couple needs to wash the feet of their parents. It is such a powerful testimony of their love towards their parents.

We had good fun with all our old friends from Water of Life at the wedding. Seeing Randy and the boys and all the beautiful girls were such a blessing. We know these children now for a long time and we love them very much. Please pray for Tongchou Cheu and his wife Chanthou Sann as they start their new life together in Christ.

Something worth praying for is the local church in the provinces. They are small in size but powerful in their communities. Some of my friends who are pastors or just Lay-pastors are investing a lot of time and effort to teach not just Khmer but the tribal people in remote areas about Christ. Pray for the following guys that I know personally. Pouhn Samai, Thearith Mao, Rithy Deng, Sok Khet and my dearest uncle Mam Choeun. I was saddened by the news that the founders of this little church in Kabal Domrey were questioning Ps. Choeun’s ability as a pastor. That small church is the only church in a huge area with lots of people. Although they are small in number, their dedication to the call is what keeps them there. Uncle works hard as a carpenter to keep ends meet and the little money he received, it’s not worth mentioning, tied him to the founder church overseas.

I am sure it is not just these guys struggling with the same issues but these are the problems in a 3rd world country where the rich West come and spread their money to show off their good deeds and in the process hurt people on the ground by accusing them of not being good enough. Point taken that many pastors take advantage of this by collecting money but these guys I am sharing to you are not them. That is the reason why the Indigenous church is dying and we need to prevent it. We can see the churches that do not get help from overseas are doing great. Pray with us for these problems. Sorry I am just venting a bit…….

Please pray for Manoj and Yong that will join me tomorrow on an outreach. I will meet them halfway and then we will go bush for a few days doing some medical in the jungle. Pray for safety on the roads as we all drive on the highways.

Pray for the Philippines where one of the volcanos is erupting. Pray for those who have breathing problems in the Manila area. Taal Volcano just blew and schools are canceled while ash falls. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-51086961

We applied for New Zealand visas as we want to visit there in April. Please pray with us that our application will go through without delays and that we can get our visas. The paperwork was a lot but we are hopeful to visit our good friends.

Thank you for praying for us. We cannot stress it more that we cannot go without it.
Love
