Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it have to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work ,where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Toinette is at home with the boys. Gideon is no longer with us but Anton will finish with Hope school this year and start online classes .Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayer 9 December 2019

It is soooo nice and cold here. About 17-18 Degrees Celsius. No need for fans and blankets are out. Gideon is sleeping under 3 blankets. We went to buy some more blankets this morning. Heard from my friend this morning that an old anti died last night from the cold, just here in town. Up North, it’s colder and the poor tribal people are really feeling the cold.
I am busy helping Apo and he really needs some TLC. His mum is very busy harvesting and planting rice, so I am stepping in to help. His wounds on his butt are getting bad and it’s very deep. So I am helping out with some Ozone treatment. We’ve seen the results before and I am trying again. Please pray with us for a speedy recovery for this wound.
Toinette is getting busier this time of year with all the Christmas parties that need to take place. This weekend there will be a big one for the students in Kok Rosey. Yours truly need to take some pictures. Pray with us for this outreach place as FGC is making a real impact in this community but lately, fewer students can come for extra classes due to extra classes at school. If they do not attend these extra classes at school they will fail their exams and on top of it all, they need to pay for every extra class. Teachers need more money and this is the way for them to make money by not giving students the whole lesson in real class so they need to come for extra classes.
We are waiting for Toinette’s little niece, Lida-Marie to come and visit us here in Siem Reap. She is currently in Sri Lanka on an Outreach. It would be nice to have some family here for Christmas.

Pray for the following people:
Anton is a bit ill with some flu. He is not a happy camper but he stayed home today and looks much better.
Anti Pami Gregorio is almost finished with her Radiation treatment.
My friend Heang’s wife from Thor Piang Rosey is due on the 22nd December and will come this week for a scan here in Siem Reap. Pray as the baby is breech and we pray for normal delivery.

This last weekend there was a Love Phnom Penh Festival in Cambodia. Franklin Graham came and shared with thousands of Khmer people in Phnom Pehn. We can use all the help we can get to reach people here in the Kingdom
Franklin Graham wrote:
It was a great first night of the Love Phnom Penh Festival in Cambodia! I shared with the crowd, through an interpreter, that God loves them and how He can give you a new life and a new beginning. We praise God for the hundreds of people who responded to the invitation to put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ and make Him the Lord of their lives. Pray for us as I have one more night of preaching the Gospel here in Phnom Penh.
My friend Steve Hyde wrote this:
Last night, there were so many people who wanted to come to Christ that I was asked to jump in and help. I saw a small group huddling, unattended on the side and went to talk with them and grabbed some counseling books and gospels. As I talked with them I soon realized they were Phnong tribal people from the east of Cambodia. I can actually speak a few phrases in their language and have a special love for these minorities. About 8-10 prayer to receive Christ between us two counselors. They have no phone, no email, no Facebook...so I got driving directions...in typical Phnong style. "Where the road splits to 3...", "next to the crooked tree...", "next to Honey village...". One unfounded criticism that people make of a large gathering is how will anyone follow up? Well, the way I see it, God brought these poor tribal people hundreds of kilometers to hear the gospel. He brought me from a race straight to the meeting, they ran out of counselors but God had already tapped me to help follow up on them. How much easier it is with a student in Phnom Penh! Actually, everyone was invited by churches so follow up is super easy. Thanks Steve Hyde and Chris Cox for pictures and story.

Thank you for praying for us. We know that back home in Namibia, people are on holiday but elsewhere people are working.
Love
Rossouw-clan
