Between visas, people and trips to Phnom Pehn and
Chum Ben Festival, I finally can look forward to do a trip into the jungle this
week. Please pray for us as a few of us are going in and help people with
medicine again. Curtis and Heang will come along to talk to people about the Word
of God. Its always a blessing being amongst the people of the jungle.
Please continue to pray for Heang as he is teaching
English and Khmer to some students in his village as well as 6km away from his
house. He is totally committed to serve and teach the young people of his
place.
The small church in Kabal Domrey is also very
faithful in being a church. They bless my heart by sending me pictures of every
Sunday’s service, even if they are less than 10 members. Numbers is not necessary
as long as we have a willing and compassionate heart. Pray for Sreymom that is John’s
sister. She works for a good friend in Phnom Pehn but has trouble with her
husband, Chea. Their marriage is broken already now for a few months and they
need direction.
Please pray for Sonja Botha. After her husband Deon
passed away she is really struggling. Pray for encouragement in her life right
now.
Annerina is closer to getting her Chemo in a week.
Pray for her as she need to prepare for this.
Praise God that Anton is well after a week of a
scary illness. He had Strep throat with really bad rash all over. He was sick
for the whole week and did not even eat 1 tomato ( then he is sick) Poor guy is
up and going again and we have a teenager back at full force hahaha. It was so
nice to have him sleeping with us at night and just chill in our room as he
could not move. We prayed for him a lot and God listened to us. Praise God for
healing him. Gideon is struggling with bad sneezing and sore eyes. Whatever we
give him nothing works. Frustrating a lot for Toinette trying to do school.
If
we want to overcome pride in our lives, then we must turn from being
self-sufficient back to being God-dependent. We must give him the credit for
everything we have and acknowledge that we’re just stewards of these many
blessings. God doesn’t bless us just so we can hoard a lot of money and buy
stuff. He blesses us to be a blessing for others, to advance his kingdom, to
reveal his love through the gift of salvation in Christ.
