Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton will finish this year with Grade 12. .Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 6 May 2019

How privilege can we be to lay in a hammock and check out the stars, after a really nice raincloud swoop over and covered the dusty ground into some nasty mud?? It even smells nice when the rain hit the ground and it reminded me of my childhood in Namibia. We could not wait for the rain to fall so we could be running in it after such a hot time without it. It was a sweaty sleep but cooled down eventually and I even used a blanket, yes a blanket this time of the year. So much cooler where there are some trees left.

Just came back from Kabal Domrey and an outreach with some good friends from Ywam IPHC Kona. They did, I just made coffee for them, 2 medical clinics and saw a lot of people and could help them with Primary Health Care. It was so awesome to start Sunday off with a church service under the trees and listen to people worshipping God. We can just hope and pray that this little outreach will bring people closer to the Lord in Kabal domrey. It was a great time for the team to experience some real rural Cambodia as they leave for rural Thailand soon.

We want to ask prayer for Christian families that are under attack. Recent news from Sri Lanka made the headlines but all of Asia and around the world, Christians are under attack. Here in Cambodia it’s very hard for couples as temptations are rampant. Just last week a good friend of mine and his wife split up and asking the wife about her husband, was a bit sad. She said she do not know where her husband is. He just left her and her baby and took off. In the same family another sister also lost her husband this way as he was dealing drugs. Satan is using all these distractions to get the Christians to rather focus on their problems than on God.

Pray for the following people:
This last week was a real hard one for us with Junmar and Indin that went through the Fire. He writes:” To our family in Samal, our family in Christ in different places, and to our friends, we are more than grateful for all the support, care, constant prayers, and love you've shown to us. During this time of grief and sorrow we are so touched, comforted, and strengthened through all your prayers and love.
The baby didn't make it. And he is now in the presence of the Lord. But I thank the Lord that my wife is safe now and recovering in the hospital. I thank Him for giving her the strength she needed to endure the pain physically and emotionally.
Truly God is the author of life and he knows what's best for us. The joy of the Lord is our strength..
Thank you everyone.”

Fe from the Philippines wrote:” PRAISE REPORT! My Surgeon sent me a message that my biopsy result showed NO CANCER CELLS found. Thank you LORD!”

A dear friend and missionary here in Cambodia, Alex McAnn is currently in Singapore, busy with test regarding his health. His wife just wrote to me. : Just had a kidney biopsy. The Drs said this morning it is Lupus, the biopsy is to see what kind of kidney damage there is, and help inform treatment options. Should know more on Thursday”.

In about 2 weeks my fiend Manus Olivier , pastor in Swakopmund, need to go again for treatment for Cancer that started to grow again in his skull. God is in full control, like he say.

Please pray for Andrea Calitz that needs to go in for treatment on the 15th May. Pray for peace and encouragement in this difficult time.

As you can see, the Christian community is going through tuff times as well. We pray that God will give us understanding in this time. It’s hot season and everyone is on edge. I remember what it’s like to wait for the rain and the promises in the sky and then the wind come and blow it all away, but it’s not raining. People are depressed and do not know what to do but we know that God is the only One that can help.

Thank you for praying for us and friends in this week. We also pray for rain in Namibia and elsewhere where it’s needed. Seems to me it’s a real struggle this time of the year.

Love
Rossouw-clan
