Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton will finish this year with Grade 12. .Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 29 April 2019

Sitting in my small pool, eating a few mangoes and watch a small bat trying to drink some water, right in front of me, I was just thanking God for small things in our lives, or even the big things like having enough money to buy a plane ticket back home, amen to that. I am grateful for supporters that so sacrificially give to us. I am grateful for good friends that support us over all these years and still believe in what we do. I am grateful for a church that is still behind and in front of us, all the way. Now I am glad that we can be here to help other people around us as well and that we can reach out to other missionaries as well.

Right now, Toinette phoned me and say that she is with Junmar and Indin, one of our staff and dear friends from the Philippines. She is 23 weeks pregnant with first baby and she suddenly started to bleed. The local clinics just told her to deliver the baby but Toinette knows better and got her to a very nice OB Gyne. They will monitor her and keep her on meds. Twans say that they are in good spirits but it is a very tense time for them. Please pray for God’s intervention.

I hooked up with an old friend that saved my life about 5 years ago. Anthony is currently working in Indonesia with his wife Jasmine. We took the bikes out, with Manoj Matthew, into the jungle for a great outreach. First we did a small dental outreach in Thor Piang rosey, while Anthony pulled people’s bones into place, he is a Chiropractor. He tried it on me but this old body is as stiff as an arrow, nothing cracks, hahahaa. People really enjoyed him helping them with their bodies worked into pieces.

Poor guy struggled on the bike through the sand but nothing like a cold energy drink or 4 to get him going again. Working out in gym and riding in the bush is not the same. I thank God that we could patch up this relationship again and works towards helping people better their lives. I was impacted at his humble approach towards the people. Please pray for Anthony as he struggles with some infections in his leg.

Please pray for pastor Mam Choeun.(on the left)  He is John’s dad from Kabal Domrey. He is currently in the hospital in Phnom Pehn trying to see what is wrong with him. They are doing a lot of tests in order to see what the problems are. He is doing much better than before, we thank God for that. He even went on the bike with us into the jungle, just to prove that he is ok.

Please pray for John’s little sister Sreymom and her husband Chea. They are separated now and the main problem is the mother in law that is really hard on her. Pray that they can bury their anger towards each other and move on in life. The enemy is really out to destroy families here in Cambodia and around the world.

I will be out to the province again on Saturday with a group from Ywam Primary Health Care students. Please pray for our safe travels and for open hearts as we serve people. Pray for the students to have wisdom in what they do and how they do it. Its hot so pray that they can cope with that. Sleeping in the province is not with aircon or fan so it will be interesting.

Thanks for all your prayers. May God bless you so much this week.
Love
Rossouw-clan
