Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton will finish this year with Grade 12. .Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 09 July 2018

Hey there from a wonderful and clean Namibia. We take so much stuff for granted when we are not living here, like clean air and surroundings. The desert is beautiful even now that the Eastern wind is blowing. It is strange when it’s cold inland that is stinking hot at the coast. The wind blow from the desert and lots of dust fly around. We enjoy the sea and the boys are swimming even if they die of the cold. We will visit the Etosha Game Park on next week Friday and are looking forward to do some camping and see game.

We thank the Lord that we can be at home this time to visit with our family. It’s always a huge privilege to see our family and encourage them as well. We count our blessings as we are so blessed by so many people and that’s why we can be a blessing to many.

Continue to pray for Fe.
LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL!
I planned to be away on my birthday...I got my things packed and my watch set to wake up before everybody does. But, not in my hundred thoughts that my boys had something planned. They woke up before i did...sang a birthday song, with a cake, made a big poster and prayed. I felt so much loved.
Their plans were spontaneous...went for a walk, Paul played basketball and I joined a Zumba for the first time. It was a great form of exercise.
I enjoyed my day.
To all of who have remembered my special day, THANK YOU! God bless you more. Praise God. Each day is precious!

Please continue to pray for Quinton Calitz. He is at home after his operation and recovers well. Still a few issues from the operation but his positive spirit make it easy to be around him. We pray that his cancer count will be down completely.

Please pray for a school friend of mine, Deon Botha who is fighting Esophageal Cancer and will start his chemo therapy on Monday 09.

Mordegai’s mum, Matra is struggling with a blood clot in her lungs. She was in hospital just a week ago but is at home with my little brother.

Please continue to pray for our missionary friend Steve Hyde as he is still recovery from his clots in his lungs. It will take a long time for him to fully recover but we believe in a miracle for him to return again to Cambodia.

Another missionary friend, Victoria Cox, recently returns to the states and encounter some medical issues.
We have a lot to be thankful for. First I am thankful that we discovered a mass on my kidney. Regardless of what it turns out to be it is growing and needs to be removed. And even though I had to spend a week in the hospital with various illness I'm grateful to the Lord for his Mercy.
Today I had my consultation with the surgeon who will remove the mass for my kidney. He seems to be very knowledgeable and very confident that he will be able to remove a piece of my kidney without having to remove the entire thing. The "mass" is 3cm which is about 1/3 of the kidney.
I'm so greatful for the many people who have helped and have offered to help. For now my job is to recover from pneumonia and get healthy for a July surgery. We do still hope to attend a family reunion in Montana, however I have learned my lesson. We will trust that if it is God's will we will be able to go.
I'm alive!! I can't express the gratitude in my heart for your prayers, notes and encouragement. If I were in Cambodia, in my village 6h from a doctor, this story could have been so different.
I haven't been in the states for the birth of my 3&4 kids. When we are sick with various disease we are often alone. YOU have been the hands of God in my life . Thank you all so very much. I feel so loved.
Today I left the house with my Chris Cox and had a real date. I feel stronger daily . We still have a long road to go on, with my surgery in August 6 . But we are filled with confidence that in this God will continue to be faithful
Thank you all so much

We just came back from talking with the youth in church. What a priveledge to speak to young people that really want to know more and who are serious about God. A few years back we spoke to the same group and we had one boy coming out to us in Cambodia. Willem was a great help and we are still looking forward to him coming back to help again.

Thank you for your continues prayers for us. May God bless you all in this week to come.
Love
Rossouw-clan
