Worked like a slave today, after a big storm swept
through and fell a couple of trees and left all the mangoes on the ground.
Swept leaves and try to clean up but managed only half of my yard. After
sweating about 30 litres, I went for my pool, which got full last night with
all the rain, with a cup of coffee and 5 mangoes. Man, luckily I do not know too
many missionaries that suffer so much like me…….Tomorrow is another day.
Some good friends and fellow missionaries came with
me to Thor Piang Rosey and from there into the bush for a sleep-over in Rum
Jopon. It was good seeing some of the patients, I had 2 weeks ago. The guy with
a very bad infected toe came and its almost healed, the uncle with a broken
leg, which was infected came and it look so much better. So good to see people
regularly in order to see that they are healthy. Please pray with me for Heang
and his family as they are helping me to build the little building. We are
struggling to get going but I hope to start building before we leave next
month.
From there we went into the jungle for a good ride
on the bikes. It was good to have John with us as he took some time off from
school. Love having my good friend and partner with me. Once again the
hospitality of the people was an inspiration to me. We helped them with medicines
and they opened their houses for us. We even got a house to sleep in. We really
could have a good fellowship with them as we had plenty of time.
We visit the family staying in Som Po-om. He said he
heard our bikes last night and was waiting for us. He said that we need to
sleep at his place next time. He even gave more breakfast and fruits. What was
the highlight of the trip was when he asked to play a song on the guitar. Josh
took up the challenge and played a worship song while uncle was enjoying it. We
had a great time fellowshipping with him. Next time we will stop there and
spend more time.
Continue to pray for Quinton Calitz. His operation
is scheduled for the 20th June.
Manus Olivier is still busy with his treatment in
the Cape.
Please pray for a good friend in Chang Mai-Thailand.
Joe Allen Dee’s dad, uncle Wright is in hospital after an accident. This uncle
touched thousands of lives with his kindness and love for God. I only remember
him as a sweet grandpa that loves the Lord with a passion.
He has got brain surgery too late, so
the membranes already built up too thick. Neurologist does not want to make
brain surgery the second time, because he is too old. (84 years old). He sleeps
the whole day and night, very difficult to swallow liquid and food, eat less
and less and less response. We have to wake him up to eat.

A friend opened a GoFundMe campaign for Fe.
Maria Fe Barrientos Dequito (Fe, as she
is known to friends and family) was part of the Leadership Team for many years
in the international church where we attend and serve in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
Last year Fe was diagnosed with cancer. She and her family, following 18 years
of service in Cambodia, have now returned home to the Philippines where Fe is
currently undergoing treatment for her cancer.
I have set up a GoFundMe campaign for Fe
in order to offset the expense of her cancer treatment. I invite you to donate
toward Fe's need. Thank you in advance for anything you can give.
Fe needs our help with funding for
ongoing cancer treatments which she is receiving in the Philippines. She is
receiving both chemotherapy and radiation treatments for her cancer. She does
NOT have insurance in the traditional sense and is depending on the generosity
of friends and family around the world to cover the cost of her treatments.
Each chemotherapy treatment costs $1,800
USD. Fe has 9 chemo treatments remaining to complete her treatment plan. The
radiation treatments cost $60 USD each and Fe has 12 more treatments remaining.
Related expenses are also incurred as it is necessary for Fe and Noel to travel
by air from their home in the Philippines to the nation's capital, Manila,
where she receives her treatments.
In order to reduce stress caused to Fe
and her family by the uncertainty of available funds for remaining treatments,
this GoFundMe campaign is being established. At present a total of $20,000USD
is still needed in order to fully cover Fe's remaining chemotherapy and
radiation treatments. Ongoing, there will be a close follow-up and therapy
regimen established once the chemotherapy and radiation treatments have been
completed.
Underscored must be the reality that
unless sufficient funds come in to cover Fe's remaining treatments, she will
not be able to proceed with the treatments. It's on a "payment in-full for
services rendered" basis.
Thank you and God bless you for any
contribution(s) you can make.
