Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it have to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work ,where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Toinette is at home with the boys. Gideon is no longer with us but Anton will finish with Hope school this year and start online classes .Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 6 March 2017

The boys want Toinette to sing to them every night before bedtime. She used to sing “Hush little baby don’t you cry “ but now she is singing “Hide me now, under your wings, Cover me within your mighty hand. When the oceans rise and thunders roar, I will soar with you above the storm, I will be still and know that you are God”.  This week had rough waters and we struggled against discouragement. Our hearts cry for Sothrey who has 40 % left of her face. The unfairness and feelings of hopelessness against a system and people in need of reform. Then God shows us He is still at work, He is God. This Sunday, one more of the high school students from the ACTS program gave his life to Jesus. Mordegai had opportunity to encourage and share with non-christian ngo workers that we are praying for them.

Praise the Lord that little Joshua is doing much better. Visited him last night and he is very alert and feeding at this time. Precious to see him after his brush with death. This is nothing short of a miracle. Continue lifting this little boy up to the Lord that can heal.

Thank you for still praying for Sothrey. She has a long road to recovery but nothing is impossible. We follow her progress daily and thanks to Yulia, the lady that is helping 24/7 on this case, we can be connected to her. Please pray for Yulia, Sothrey’s sister and all the staff at the hospital that are currently involved with Sothrey.
Pray for encouragement in a desperate situation.
Pray for finances to come through as medical bills need to be paid.
Pray for a Fundraising that will be hold on the 10th March in order to raise more funds.
Pray also for her family as they are in a desperate situation and really in need.
I want to copy Yulia’s words:
I hope Sothrey's case will serve as a stark reminder how horrifically these failures affect the poorest population of this country.”

Want to ask prayer for my dear brother and sister in Stung Treng. Jared and Emily are leading the team of AOC there and need all the help they can get. At the end of the month they are having an opening ceremony of their training centre and much need to be done before that. Stress is an understatement. If you have some downtime and want to make use of it, why not heading up to Stung Treng and go and help on The Hope Centre, or just send some encouragement their way.

I went on a small outreach with them last week to pull some teeth. We did not have a lot of people but we know that we just need to make people use to us and later they will come. Normally people are just afraid and do not trust you to do it correctly, why not??? So we will just be back with another outreach.

Please also pray for our outreach this week to the tribal people in Ratanakiri. We have reports from the one village that 3 children, 5 years old, died after they came back from the hospital with vomiting and diarrhoea. All illnesses that is preventable. We need to go and see how we can help and try and teach the tribal people to alter their ways of drinking water from the rivers. The water is not just contaminated by people but also with chemicals from the rubber plantations.

Luke 15:4-7 New International Version (NIV)
“Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it?  And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbours together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’  I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.

May we have God’s peace as we enter this week and seek His will in our lives.
Love

You are doing a great work! Don't lose heart or grow weary. We understand how frustrating leaders of poor countries can be. Our nation of South Sudan has failed it's people in every way.
