Caught
the neighbor hood boys now 2 times already, while they were fishing in
my fishpond. They climb the wall and proudly got off with some nice big
fish. So much easier to catch here than in the pond next door. The fish
is about 100 times bigger. When I went out this morning they came
walking straight at me. Off course, when they saw me, they ran like
crazy, me on crutches, hmmmmmm, wish so I could run as well....... So
everyone helped to put more glass on the wall in the back and hope our
talk in the neighbor hood will help with our little thieves. Life here
in Cambodia has no dull moment.
My friend Carl is doing great at home and according to his wife he is bored, whats new???
Some word from his wife:""They ordered in home nursing twice a week for Carl LaCasse
but she came today and said he was doing way too good for in home
care.. His lungs are currently sounding great..., coagulation report
looks good, no evidence of fluid retention so far, BP was good and so
was his heart rate . He's down
about 11 lbs so far too!. You actually would never know what he has just
been through.. Now we just need that damaged part of his heart to heal
so he can do more than just walk.. He's already super bored. Did I say
that God is Amazing....""
Thanks for praying for my leg. Two
weeks still and I need to get back to Battambang for a checkup to hear
when they will remove the screws and bend the knee. Not looking forward
to it. We can barely get the leg to 90 degrees. Pray that we can get it
bending more. Ps. got a exercise bike and try it out in the mornings.
School
is always a challenge. Toinette need to do homework with Gideon at
night at home as he is not doing it in school. He loves interacting with
the children but he is not doing his work so good. Pray that he can
start doing his work without Toinette being there.
Toinette
is also very busy with teaching in the village and loving it. Pray for
the students to come to know the real Teacher, one day. Please pray for
the team of FGC to be faithful in what they are doing. Pray for good
unity in the team.
Something to encourage us this week from :""Beautiful Outlaw - John Eldredge"
""We
need Jesus like we need oxygen,"" says John Eldredge. ""He is the
missing essence of your existence. To have Jesus, really have him, is to
have the greatest treasure in all worlds. To have his life, joy, love,
and presence cannot be compared. A true knowledge of Jesus is our
greatest need and our greatest happiness.""
