Enjoying this time of the day, around 7pm. Boys are on the bed with a book each, yip the devices (iphone, ipad and games and tv) are not part of the package for the boys in the week. Shame!!!!!! Well luckely mum can still play her addictive farm game, hahahaha, and dad watch his Food shows like Bizzare Foods....... We had a great week, celebrating our 20th Anniversary as well as Anton's birthday on the 7th, finally he is 9 years old, seems like 19 but he is to small. Once a year that we treat ourselves to good food and the Austrian Restaurant is our favorite with big Snitchels thats not for the faint of heart.
We are doing much better now with the heat as it is raining more and that cools off the place a bit. My leg is getting stronger by the day and I give it as much as possible walking time, as we have a big yard to clean. Anton is busy getting ill with a bit of a snot nose but nothing serious. Gideon is himself, entertaining everyone, reading Garfield, imagin for yourself. Toinette is just hot and tired....... her eye is good again, praise God.
This month there is a very important festival between 22-24 September. Please start to pray for this event. I start to ask now as this is one of the biggest events of the year.
"""" Pchum Ben (Khmer: បុណ្យភ្ជុំបិណ្ឌ; "Ancestors' Day") is a 15-day Cambodian religious festival, culminating in celebrations on the 15th day of the tenth month in the Khmer calendar, at the end of the Buddhist lent, Vassa.[1][2]
The day is a time when many Cambodians pay their respects to deceased relatives of up to 7 generations.[4] Monks chant the suttasin Pali language overnight (continuously, without sleeping) in prelude to the gates of hell opening, an event that is presumed to occur once a year, and is linked to the cosmology of King Yama originating in the Pali Canon. During the period of the gates of hell being opened, ghosts of the dead (preta) are presumed to be especially active, and thus food-offerings are made to benefit them, some of these ghosts having the opportunity to end their period of purgation, whereas others are imagined to leave hell temporarily, to then return to endure more suffering; without much explanation, relatives who are not in hell (who are in heaven or otherwise reincarnated) are also generally imagined to benefit from the ceremonies.""""
Pray for the teachers of FGC Community Link so they will have wisdom what to teach in the villages. We are in exciting times where children want to learn. Definitely not the case in the West.......
