Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan,Gideon and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it have to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages up in the far North of Cambodia, doing much needed medical work ,where no other doctors go, with local pastors as well as the Department of Health of Ratanakiri.

Toinette is at home with the boys. Homeschooling Gideon is a task not for sissies, while Anton is in Eli school. .She joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Uncle Durasi(nose) had a terrible setback. His daughter died and she have a very young baby , so we had to save a the baby . The baby did not have any breastmilk for a while and was very hungry. So I went and bought some formula and bottles so that we could give that to the baby. We had to walk in that water and that was another experience. Not to tell what is in the water. Rather not think about that. As you know the water is a mix off all the garbage of Davao. Like my friend said who went with me,"The Lord is my shepherd, I shall fear no germs."

At this time the baby is doing fine and 2 young girls are looking at him. Please pray for the boy, Romel, he is only 2 months old.

Another concern is uncle Durasi. The other Badjaos tell me that Durasi also want to die now. He is only laying in his shack and want to die. Please pray for a dear friend. This is serious. I need to fix his wound. It was bleeding very bad the day his daughter died, but the only thing I could do was to pray with him. Pray that God will be an encourager to him and that he will stand up and live.

Unfortunately the Badjaos do not care for one another and the others do not even want to go and pray with him. Pray for healing under the Badjaos that they will go and help their neighbors. They will only help if that person is family. Do not judge them for that, we need to pray that they will start seeing that . Our only hope for them is that they start looking after one another. They can have all the blessings they can handle but if they do not love one another and helping each other they are lacking in their ways of being a Christian. No good if we look only after ourselves and laugh at out neighbor that is struggling. Please pray serious for this problem as there are so many people working with the Badjaos but so few teach them the basics.

Rommel survived the whole trauma of his mother not there. He became a fine young boy. Always happy and smiling and always want to go and swim in the sea. We are so glad that we could save his life. He is a nobody in other people’s eyes but in God’s eyes he is precious

To God all the Glory
