Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it have to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work ,where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Toinette is at home with the boys. Gideon is no longer with us but Anton will finish with Hope school this year and start online classes .Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Ate Rapiyah

After 4 years or longer , asking and explaining every day what the importance is of a operation, ,I can finally say, "Thank God she said yes."!!!! This is my anti Rapiyah. for all these years she said ,"No", and now is the time. "Never give up", that is the motto. Her husband accompany her and we went off to the hospital. the government hospital is really nice now and they have a brand new Outpatient department. Cannot believe it, it is better than the rich hospital in town, about time. We need to give something good for the poor for a chance. Well, they do not speak Cebauno and uncle cannot hear , so I am not sure why he came with but anyhow, anti Rapiyah was happy, and if she is happy, everyone is happy. Cannot speak a word Cebauno but if I speak she understands. When the doctors and nurses speak to them , they look at me and I need to repeat everything and then they reply. The doctors and staff at the hospital is amazed at my ability to communicate to them. Must be God doing some translation, cause I say the same things the doctors say, hahaha.

I really enjoy anti Rapiyah's soft and gentle spirit and the thanks they give for being helped. The old uncle, maybe 70+ is sweet as well. Ask when her birthday was, only God knows, Toinette's birthday was used and I just made her 50 years of age. Nobody will know and nobody cares anyhow. What is a couple of years between friends if you cannot read and write even your name. When I saw the doctor she recognize me and we could have a nice talk. We are just waiting for the results and then we can schedule her for an operation. For some of you who can remember, she is the anti with a very bad foot that have Bone- infection . The doctor had a good laugh when I told her about our Badjao friendship and the way we help them.

Please pray with us for anti Rapiyah to get a good clearance of all her results and that she can get an operation, soon.

Well she was operated on and it seems to be a success. For 2 weeks I went there and clean the wound till one day I saw its opening again. What on earth did the doctors do?? I was now convince they did not clean the foot from the infection inside. Some infection must have been left behind and now the wound is opening again. Sad to say that we messed this one up.

Anti Rapiyah returned to the streets in hope to find some money by begging, with her foot exposed so that passerby people can see her and pity her. Her usual place was right in front of a Cathedral in town. Many days I stopped and give something as I know that it will never happen again that she will be taken to hospital.

God allowed us to make a good friend even we most properly disappointed her but we must press forward even in times like these. God is in control.
