Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton is studying in Malaysia. Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 6 July 2026

Sitting here and munching on fresh cashew nuts from my friend’s farm. These nuts are not the nice white and shiny ones you get to eat back home but they are a bit rough as the guys just cut them roughly and roasted them. Taste the same than these pure white ones, think they are better for you, just a shame that I know these guys used a lot of chemicals on their trees. Would prefer to have the original ones without chemicals but how do you know. They say on the label its chemical free but when you visit the farm you see all the empty bottles laying around. See here in Wonderland, they do not like to clean and the evidence is for you to see, hahaha. Well because these nuts are so expensive, I do not complain when I get it for free.

We asked prayer for Russel and Lourenza in SA. Things are not as rosy as it is supposed to be. Please pray that the children can sort things out and get them the help they need. At the moment there are a lot of resistance from their side but we know that our Lord can work wonders. It is really difficult to give your life over so other people can run it for you, these guys need a heck of a lot of encouragement to get to that point. Pray for solutions and strength and wisdom.

We are also in the process of helping a tribal friend, Ria. We asked for prayer a while ago as he got a very big ulcer under his foot. I asked my good friend Gordon to get on his case again as I felt really sorry for him sitting at home and not been able to work. Helping these tribal guys can be very tricky and you need to communicate things properly and that’s why we got Gordon on the case. If there are someone that knows tribal culture, it is him.

I am in contact with my longtime friend Doc. Dienega in Philippines and he want us to make sure what is wrong before we continue. After an x-ray and bloodwork, the doctors in Banlung advise him to go to Phonm Pehn as they cannot help him in the small hospital. But first he needs a blood transfusion and Gordon send his brother to rally up some troops in the village to donate blood. So hopefully he will be better in a few days and strong enough to travel to Phnom Pehn for further help. It all looks like and amputation of the foot is needed but we are not the doctors. Thanks to my good friend Donny in Phnom Pehn, Ria will have a place to stay when he is finish in the hospital. So nice to have such good friends around. Please pray for these few days as it will be rough.

Thank you all for praying with us. We are grateful for friends and family that stands in the gap with us.

Love
