Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton is studying in Malaysia. Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 22 June 2026

We end this week a bit bitter and sweet. We know that most of us foreigners will go at some time of our stay here in Cambodia but when one of the good guys is going, things start to pull on your skin. We knew now for a while that Junmar and Indin will go but in the back of our hearts we always had a small part that it will not happen. The time has come for Junmar to say goodbye already this week. He will leave for Malaysia and Indin will stay behind till their papers are finalize and then she will join her hubby.

Last night we had a farewell party for them. We had a great meal and afterwards saying goodbye to them was a bit hard. He was a very dear part of all off us and especially the Khmer staff. It was heartwarming to see some of them tearing up while they say goodbye. We so much appreciate his contribution to this mission and he will definitely be missed in the future. We still got Indin here with us so it’s a bit of a relief. For Twans and me, it feels like our own children is packing up and leaving town.

Over these years we had to say goodbye to so many wonderful friends that we know we will properly never see again face to face. We thank God for technology that we can still be in contact via the phone. Makes me think back in the days when we started out in Malaysia and how difficult and expensive it was to phone home or even write an email. Communication these days are so easy and makes us communicate so much more.

Pray for:

Thanks for praying with us for help for Lourenza. A good friend of mine in SA contacted me and she contacted another friend and so by now she already got councilors lined up and soon she can go to Palliative Care. Here our moto comes in handy:””With God and common sense we can do much””.

Pray for Junmar and Indin as they need to be apart from each other for at least 3 months while he works on his papers in Malaysia and soon she will be able to follow him. God’s planning is not always our planning. Pray for all the staff as they need to make peace that Kuya Junmar is not there anymore.

Thank you for you love and care by reading this letter and responding to it every week.

Love

Rossouw-clan
