Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton is studying in Malaysia. Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 13 April 2026

Seems to me that everyone here complains about the heat. I must say it is a bit hot. Working under a tin roof is no pleasure but if you are like Toinette that need to work also under a tin roof with no ventilation, then things become a bit serious. She comes home every day exhausted to the bone. As for now we have the biggest holiday on the calendar, Khmer New Year. Yip our 3rd new year this year. Everybody is in town from far away provinces and it kicks off tomorrow. This year is a bit different but still it’s a big party. We are staying at home and I am making cars as much as I can. We are kinda boring, hahaha.

I had the privilege to go out with my good friend Isaack Lutz from PCL. We went to give some plastic tarps to around 480 refugee families. We visited 2 camps where people are staying from the border regions that are still occupied by Thailand. These people will not go home in the near future. Thailand is still on the border busy with their games.

These tarps will be use to cover the old ones as it is already destroyed by the sun and rainy season is coming soon. Imagine yourselves living in a makeshift tent with plastic tarp in this heat. Looking into some of these tents you can see that people are trying their best to make it a little like home. Like they say:””Your home is where your heart is””, but I know that these people really want to go back to their real homes but that is for another day. Sad story.

Seeing these beautiful soft hearted people in such need is not a joke. They are so happy for any help they can get. Sitting with them and share a few words makes the world a better place. At this specific camp I want to make them a small playground. The children just hang around there without school and any entertainment. Not a good place to be in, really.

I am thinking about home a lot these days as it is raining in Namibia. It is always a special time when it rains and the only news we get from home is all about the rain. So with the rainy season want to start here.

Thank you for praying with us in this time. Pray for people that are travelling as it is a lot of people moving around the country and lots of people drink way too much.

Love

Rossouw-clan
