Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton is studying in Malaysia. Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 10 March 2025

Good evening all

Just got back from a housewarming party of one of the staff that works with Toinette. It was so beautiful to sit literally on top of a rice field overlooking the sunset and all the cows coming home. We forget Cambodia's beauty as we stay in our houses in the city or towns. Being outside with the locals is just the best. We had great food prepared by Sung’s husband as he is a chef in town. Yummy local fish and dishes only they can make. What a wonderful evening out in the countryside with a setting sun. It is the small things in life we need to enjoy.

This week we need to prepare for our trip to the jungle. This time Toinette will go with us and the agenda is simple, drive in by truck to Som Poom and then by bike to Rum Jopon and back to Som Poom. Toinette wants to go and talk to the teacher in Rum Jopon and give her some advice on how to run the school. Curtis can spend some time with the new believers and we can give some much-needed meds again. Please pray for a safe journey there and back. We see this trip as a great opportunity to see how the believers do after their baptism the other day.

Please pray for:

Etienne’s update: Papa’s infection rates are lower today, his doctor expressed they are happy to see their actions having a positive outcome, and that his body is responding appropriately.

It was such a treat to see him a bit more responsive than usual, his eyes filled with tears when we said we loved him. We prayed for him and told him his rugby team won over the weekend and his heart rate spiked at that. 💪 however after a few minutes he drifts back asleep

Thank you for your prayers, friends, please continue to pray for full and complete restoration.

Here is something for us to chew on in this time of Lent.

This week is a short version but the fact that we pray is the best. Love you all and see some of you soon. We will be home on the 22nd of March 2025.
