Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton will finish this year with Grade 12. .Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday nigh prayers 11 November 2024

Good evening all

Sorry for being so quiet over these weeks. We were in Malaysia, busy with Anton’s stuff for university. While there we took some time off and hung out with him before we had to say the big goodbye. Back home everything now is so quiet without children in the house and now we need to keep each other company. I am sure many of you already experienced that feeling, we are just a bit old for this. Never mind we will make it, talking with Anton 2x a day to ensure we use the new technology. Were are the times when we can hardly speak to our parents.

Anton is settling into life at the university. He already started with classes and things are looking pretty hectic but that’s what study is all about. He made contact with a Christian group and also a nice church. We accompanied him to church and the people were very welcoming. So please pray for him as he is struggling to be about the only Christian boy in his hostel surrounded by lots of children that just left home. All of us know what that means. Pray that he will stand firm and that his testimony to others will be strong. Pray for his Chinese roommate. His name is Lu and Anton says they only exchange information at this time.

Some of you who know our story from day one will remember that our story included an Indian man we met way back in 1995 in Namibia. His name is Gopal Sunduram. Sumari you will remember him because you introduced us to each other. After our time in Malaysia in 1996, we lost contact. I shared with my friend Sonny here in Malaysia and he got hold of Gopal on the internet. We could visit him and that was such a Godly visit. After all these years we could see each other again. He now is a very influential man in Malaysia. Looking at his CV you can see how God used him all these years working under his people. It is like my friend says:” It is amazing to see God’s generals at work in Malaysia.”

After we visit Malaysia, we can see God’s hand in all of this. Years ago He already gave us friends and laid the foundation for us to go back and enjoy the benefits after 29 years. Seeing Anton in Malaysia is like living proof of God’s faithfulness to us all.

Pray for:

Ouma Paula is moving on with her life in Frail Care. She is getting stronger by the day but still experiences a lot of pain in her legs.

Please pray for our friend Terry Jones. “” They went in to do a triple bypass and to shave the HCM muscle but found he needed his aortic valve replace and another valve had a damaged flap that she has to cut smaller.   A 5 hr surgery became a 7 hr surgery.  Thank you for your prayers. UPDATE: today is counted as day 2 because they don’t count surgery day.  So day 1 they took out or shortened most of the tubes and all but 1 IV   They got him into a chair twice and PT started walking him a few steps.  He is still on a full liquid diet. He is grateful and irritable trying to do everything they want from him.  He is excited to see his grandkids today. “”

Pray for Dim that is reaching out to the people in the jungle. The need for a place to worship and do some children's teaching is huge so we are looking into plans to provide that. We do not want to make people from other areas, jealous so we need to treat them very carefully in our approach. Pray for wisdom.

Thank you very much for praying with us. We cannot do without it.

Love

Rossouw-clan
