Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton will finish this year with Grade 12. .Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 28 August 2023

Good evening all

Nothing to complain about this week. The weather is wet and hot, so nothing new hahaha. I took a few pieces of wood that had been with us already for more than 10 years, used for a chicken coop, and else, this week, and started to build some small seats for my friend’s church gathering. After the neighbor complained cause of all the dust, the wood had to be sanded as it was in the ground, I finally could cut it up and made the small seats. Nothing special, just so people do not need to sit on the ground in the wet. I cannot sit on it as my knees cannot bend but for Asians it’s perfect. I asked Abraham about the people sitting on the seats and he said that they were so blessed to just have something to sit on.

Can you think that something so small can make someone happy? An old piece of rotten wood to sit on? Well, we need to start seeing the small things in life. We live in a world where everything needs to be: “Go big or go home.” I was thinking about my old friend Uncle Robin in the Philippines, many moons back. He told me: “Mordegai, with God and common sense we can do a lot.“ Abraham came up with the idea of making seats and it cost us nothing and the people got blessed. Plain and simple.

Please pray for my friend Heang and his family. His wife is on her way here to Siem Reap as his children are very ill. I hope to catch up with them when they are here. Pray that the doctors can give her good medicines for the children. Out in the province, the medical care can only go that far.

Ouma Paula is reporting that she is doing well. The pain is under control and she is her old self again, full of plans to serve the old people around her. Talk about a lady of faith.

Please for my friend John Mao and his family in-law. His brother-in-law was in a serious bike accident and broke at least 5 ribs really badly. They will not operate and he must just endure this pain till it gets better. The x-rays show the ribs quite out of place. Pray for his pain and healing that will take a long time.

Please write to us and tell us stories of things happening in your world.

Love

Rossouw-clan
