Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton is studying in Malaysia. Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 21 September 2020

After a really bad Saturday, the truck broke, then one of the bikes broke and finally it was the computer, just while I am busy with this letter I accidentally deleted all my files and try to restore it again. Gideon came into the room and ask: ”Dad can I give you a hug, seems to me you need it.? Ja off course I was in need of a hug and much more. Days like this drive me insane as I struggle just to keep everything running and after fixing everything, it start to break again uggghhh. Seems that I do not get to the things that I am supposed to do, that is to share Christ with the people.

I took the boys for breakfast this Sunday morning, church is open but not open yet, its 2020!! Well it was full of holiday makers from Phnom Pehn and we shared a table with an old uncle and his family. After we got our food, we prayed as usual and start digging in. I could hear the uncle pray as well and it was like music to my ears. He turned to me and ask if we are Christians. In my broken Khmer we strike up a conversation and he told me that his family is Christian and he is on his way to church. The boys were amazed that the old uncle was a Cristian as they know that most people are not. I could share to the boys that something like praying for your food can have a big impact on someone. I reminded them the importance of praying for your food at least in a country where we are allowed to.

Seems that this Chikungunya virus is hitting wide and heavy. Our friends in Thor Piang Rosey got it bad with 7 of his family down with it. Please pray for Heang and his family as they struggle with this virus. Our friend Brea Johnson is still not doing well and struggles through it. Toinette has another stomach issue due to her immunity that is low and she is still very weak at certain times of the day. That makes work very hard as she runs out of steam. My friend Scott in the USA is back in the ICU but his wife is saying that she expect him back today again. Please pray for his full recovery.

I will go down to Phnom Pehn tomorrow on Monday as I need to renew my driving license , not that the truck is doing good, but at least I need it hahaha. Pray for safe travels on these roads that people do not care how they drive. I will visit our good friends Curtis and his sick wife Brea. Giving some encouragement, I am good at, so it will be handy.

I attach for you a really good testimony from up North from our good friends Gordon and Bee. They are working under the minority people groups in Ratanakiri and I think they are doing great work. They are part of the people there as they are there such a long time working alongside them. The story is about the Chinese involvement in getting the Yeak Lom Lake for a resort. Please read it, it’s a bit long but it is a testimony of people that love the Lord and willingness of a young church to stand against un-justice.

Stay safe in this time and may the Lord protect you from this ever present virus.

Love

Rossouw-clan
