Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton is studying in Malaysia. Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 6 July 2020

Just came back from a beautiful ride with the boys on the bikes. We have natural bikers in the family now and I need to be careful as my position will be filled shortly. But likely I am still the King of the Mud hahaha. Tomorrow I will hit the road again to visit my friends in the jungle and give them some needed meds. Had to wait for the mechanics to fix my truck, as it finally said goodbye. They did open heart surgery on the poor thing, AGAIN. So at least we can ride again. For some reason cause of Covid-19, I keep from conducting clinics close to the highway and just ride into the jungle where there are pockets of people and give them meds right at their homes, family by family.

Just a small testimony about God’s perfect timing and support. A friend contacted us to give some money, and that money was not even cold while transferring into my account and the truck broke. I used up almost the exact amount that was needed for the truck to be fixed. I was wondering why my friend gave us such a big blessing, should have known better hahaha. Thanks, Deon for following God’s orders. God is still faithful even in a calamity like this COVID season.

Toinette is working hard in the village by driving to different houses and do some teaching there with the kids. She really enjoys it to meet the parents more often and it turns out to be a real blessing to some. She shared to me that she saw a small 4-year old that is Special Needs. She talked to the mum and said that she will make some time next time she comes to show mum what to do to teach the little boy.  I love for Toinette to help Special Needs children as I see her heart when seeing someone like this. Gideon taught us all many lessons to share with other people. Please pray for Srey Lynn, one of the staff, who fell down and hurt her foot pretty bad. She will be on a crutch for a while. Roads are really slippery and muddy now with the rainy season.

The good news is that Ouma Paula is back at her home and she is doing well. She has helped in the form of a nurse that comes and helps her to take a bath. Her shoulder is still in a sling as they wait for it to grow together. It will take some time but we believe the Lord is faithful in healing her.

Please pray for Hope School as they applied to the Government to come and inspect for re-opening. The article at the bottom explains it. They will open schools in phases first to see if it works. Pray for favor. This letter is from the Director of the school.
Good afternoon HOPE Community
The Ministry of Education, Youth & Sports rang this afternoon to confirm that the Minister of Education and his team will visit the HOPE Phnom Penh campus for a COVID-19 Compliance Inspection next Tuesday at 10am. Please continue to pray as we prepare this week and then present our compliance protocols and procedures to the Minister and his team next Tuesday.

Cambodian schools to re-open in stages from August
August will finally see the reopening of schools which has been shuttered for months now. The Education Ministry said that it is in the process of re-opening schools, after more than three month of shutdown as part of the effort to combat COVID-19.
Other Education officers meanwhile told Khmer Times on conditions of confidentiality that about 15 ‘high-quality’ private international schools, including Japanese, English, American and French institutes, with approximately 20,000 students will be allowed to reopen first as a test case.
Ministry spokesman Ros Soveacha told Khmer Times today that the process will be divided into three phases based on health safety standards of the schools. “The first phase will include schools with high safety standards [preventive measures against the virus spread],” Mr Soveacha said. “The second phase will focus on schools with moderate standards and the third will be schools with minimum standards. Each class must have not more than 15 students and social distancing must be strictly enforced and other areas where contact may take place, must also be eliminated.”
Mr Soveacha added the Ministry of Education is working with all relevant parties, especially the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Economy and Finance, on the re-opening based on health measures and socio-economic factors. “In the near future, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport will announce the timeline of and necessary measures for the first phase to the public,” he said, adding that the timelines for the second and third stages depend on the effectiveness of the first stage. “The ministry will carefully analyse the first stage and then go on to analyse the second and third stages, based on plans which the ministry will make with relevant ministries and institutions,” Mr Soveacha added. https://www.khmertimeskh.com/50741403/cambodian-schools-to-re-open-in-stages-from-august/

We pray today that the Lord will step in and open places up that is still closed because of the virus. We pray fro small businesses to start up again as they are suffering the most. We pray for people that lost jobs and lively hoods in this time and off course we pray for the people that are infected with this virus. May God have mercy on us?
Love
