Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton is studying in Malaysia. Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 18 March 2019

Sit at church last night, after the service we had a meeting and I was wondering what will happen. Now I know about a few people leaving Cambodia but then the whole Leadership Team stood up and said they are leaving, whattttt??? Seems to me that Cambodia is running dry of all the long term missionaries. We need to decide if our little fellowship CFSR will continue or not. In recent months we were dwindling in numbers but we really enjoyed the family atmosphere. It gave us comfort as a family of Christ. Now our comfort is disturbed and what now??
I still need to meet somebody that do like change. Are we to set in our old ways? I always need to hear that from my teenagers at home but this is serious. Pray for us that we will focus on the Lord and not on the name CFSR. Lord willing we all can get a new community of believers somewhere. After all, the main thing that God wants from us is to have fellowship with other believers. Finding a church where we feel comfortable in, is a hard thing. I think it’s good that God is rocking our boat a bit. We get so comfortable that we just keep the seats warm, instead of getting out and do something. Pray for our little fellowship and things that need to change.

Praise God for Deon Botha. All his tests came back negative and for now he is clean. Just heard also about another school buddy of mine, Marius Ingram that was operated on as well. He says that they could cut out all the bad stuff. Pray for these 2 friends of mine, they are still young.
Please pray for Quinton and Andrea Calitz, Toinette’s youngest brother. Quinton is still recovering from his Prostate operation and now Andrea waits to hear back from the doctors about her test results. Dealing with one in the house is ok but when both are ill then things are hard. Please pray for our family. Pray for encouragement and love in this difficult time.
Please pray for our pastor Thijs vd Merwe. He had a knee replacement a while ago and still struggle with some swelling and pain. If you know him then you will know that this guy cannot sit still for a long time, so it must be frustrating. I totally know what he is going through.

Please continue to pray for Fe in the Philippines

On Thursday we will drive up to Stung Treng and the next day up to the Laos Border in order for Toinette to leave the country and come back in again with a different visa. Pray for favour at the border post. Bribery is common practise here and you need nerves of steel. Toinette is really worried about all of this as we also need to go in a day late and pay a fine. After that we will go all the way to Ratanakiri and enjoy some fresh air or let I say, dusty air. I visit to the Leper anti is a must.

Leave you with this: “”John Calvin writes, “We must repeat the same supplications not twice or 3 times only, but as often as we have need, a 100 and a 1000 times …….we must never be weary in waiting for God’s  help.””

Thank you for praying for us. As you can see so many friends need the Lord’s touch in this time.
Love
Rossouw-clan
