Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it have to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work ,where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Toinette is at home with the boys. Gideon is no longer with us but Anton will finish with Hope school this year and start online classes .Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 10 September 2018

Sunday morning I took the boys for cycling to Baray Lake. Church is at pm so it’s a good fellowship for the boys. While sitting on the dam wall, I saw small boys way down, on a boat. Then one fell in the water and I see that he cannot swim. I started running down or maybe hopping down the dam wall and jump into the water and start swimming towards them. With all of the commotion I made, everybody started looking why I am doing this and they realize that the small boy is busy drowning.

I made till about 10m from him when a young guy picked him from the water. Wow God saved that boy in the nick of time. By now I was wet and nice and cool and all the Khmer people just thanked me for helping. Back at the boys, Gideon said, “Dad that was the bravest thing I have ever seen you doing.”
Thank you Jesus for life lessons learned right on the spot.

Be prepared to give your all to God's people everywhere.

I had the privilege to have South East Asia Hub from SA here with us. Uncle Niko and Schalck, Adine and Hanli, all the way from the Cape down south. We went for an outreach to Thor Piang Rosey and it was great seeing them with the people. John was there to help and I value his help so much. People got some clothes and small little dolls all the way from SA. Some members in church made some small dolls for the children.

The next day took us all the way to Phnom Chi. Uncle Niko ride his own little bike all the way into the jungle while John, Chea and his brother in law lift the others. Needles to say that the road was bad with all the rain falling. We had so much fun and I was amazed how strong these guys were. Uncle Niko is 72 and uncle Schalk is 74. Pretty impressive. Definitely a new record!! Uncle Niko (btw. He hates me calling him Uncle) is now the official record holder for the oldest through the jungle on his own bike!!

In Rum Jopon I saw the anti that was bitten by a snake, again. This time I took some meds with and started to cut away all the black dead flesh. It was peeling some dried meat. Praise God she did not had a lot of pain. I stopped when I got to the soft flesh. Left her with good meds. I am on my way Wednesday to go and check on her. Please pray for safety s we will concur that road again. My friend Joshua will join me and he need to come all the way from Phnom Pehn.

The list is growing by the day of people that really need a miracle in their lives.
Quintin Calitz is still waiting on his final results. Pray for encouragement in these uncertain times.
Deon Botha is going to the doctor tomorrow and will then hear when he will be operated on. The cancer shrinks smaller due to his chemo and now they will take the next step. Pray for encouragement and peace.
Elaine Haydon is asking for prayers as she needs to go and see her Oncologist soon as some problems flared up again.
Heang’s dad, my friend in Thor Piang Rosey, suddenly experience headaches and walked off without the family known where he went. He got found by someone on a bike and after 2 hours was home again. I will see on Wednesday what we can do. Pretty much in the dark what to do. Pray for wisdom.

We had the privilege to visit with Fe, yesterday in church. Noel and Fe came here to Siem Reap to visit and she shared in church about her Journey. Wow what an inspiration this girl is to all of us. In her darkest times she reached out to some of the people with cancer when she met them in the hospital and continue to serve God right there in the treatment room. I have a new Respect for this small Filipina lady. She is definitely one of my Heroes and an inspiration to us to see where we can help, even when we are in need.
Mordegai’s mum, Matra, just write and said that she is finally out of the hospital after 12 days. They did a Lung-whatever thing where they flush it out and she had a nasty viral infection and that made her so sick. The doctor says that her longs will be cleared up in 3 months and she got a clean bill of Health. Once again God saved my mum from a sickbed. God is good.

Some news from my friend:
Andrew Brunson’s name is in almost every report. There is great pressure in Turkey due to relations between the US and Turkey. Various alliances are being made with other countries. Please pray that the blue print as in heaven shall be done on earth in Turkey.
Praise God that Andrew has been released from prison to house arrest!! On 25 July 4pm, Andrew was in his prison cell when a police officer came to ask Andrew to write his wife’s phone number and his address. He was not told the reason but Andrew’s cell mate turned on the TV to find out the news. Scrolling at the bottom of the screen was written, “Andrew Brunson has been released from prison to house arrest due to bad health.” The reporters had the news before the paperwork had even arrived at the prison. It was a great day of celebration!! And praise God that Andrew was in perfect health.
Even more than that, Andrew is in good spiritual health too. The day before being released, he wrote a letter to his wife, Norine: As Jesus was being arrested and the disciples apposed, Jesus responded, “Will I not drink the cup the Father has given me?” (John 18:11). It hit Andrew. Of course he would drink the cup the Father had given him… even if it’s 35 years in prison. Andrew had reached the point of giving up his all for whatever Jesus wanted to do through him.
12 October will be Andrew’s next court date. Please pray that justice will be served and that the truth shall be known! Pray that Andrew can keep his eyes on Jesus no matter how frustrating this time is.

Reading the book, Captive in Iran, makes me think more and more about how we as Christians need to pray for other people even when we are in dire circumstances. Being persecuted for Christ is alive and well in the world and we need to stand firm in our faith with God.

Love to hear from you in this week.
