And of it came and then it went ahead of us again. The
New Year came very quiet here in Cambodia. For me, I was in the jungle with
some friends and it was the perfect way of finishing the year off. Toinette and
the boys stayed up till 12 o’clock and watched movies into the New Year. Just
look at all the bright lights and parties around the globe but here, nothing,
except for in Pub street where all the foreigners are. Love it this way. We are
awaiting another 2 New Year’s coming, Chinees New Year and Khmer New Year. We
hope that this year will be a great one for you and may the Lord’s blessings on
you all. We are looking forward to this year as we know that big things are to
come.
Like I said, I was in the jungle. We started out
with an outreach in Thor Piang Rosey. One good thing about coming so many times
or more regular to a place is that I can keep better track of all the sick
people around. Finally I am getting ahead of all the nasty illnesses and see
that the children are doing much better. I love it when this happens. Sad to
see some ladies with some serious medical issues. Need to sort it out in this
New Year.
From there we went into the jungle the next day. My
friend with the big stomach still fighting for his life and we can see it is
not so easy for him anymore. It is getting worse by the day. Really sad to see
him in such a bad state. Please pray for him.
My best moment of 2016 came on this this trip. We were
racing down this jungle path and my brakes failed me and I crashed down right
in front of an ox-cart. Luckily nothing serious. The girl on the cart
recognises me and immediately asked me for medicine. Right there in the middle
of the jungle, I was able to help someone with some medicine. This is a moment
I will treasure for long time to come, as I know that the people need us. I
praise God that I can be an extension of His hands on earth.
Good news on Leap Long:
From Donnie: “”My staff was able to sneak and take 2
new photos of my friend Leap Long who has been in the Hospital over a month
now. He looks like he has gained weight but still on I.V. constantly. Please
continue to pray for him still do not know when he will get out of the
hospital.””

the medical problems we face here.
