Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon, and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it has to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work , where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Gideon is no longer with us but Anton will finish this year with Grade 12. .Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers 18 July 2016

Looking at the news it seems that the world turned to be a wild place to be in. Killings and destruction everywhere. Time seems to be of essence to make sure that people hear about the Lord. Pray with us that people see the Lord in these volatile times of hatred and death.

The boys are at Kings Kids with Ywam this week. Pray that both of them have a better experience with God in this week. Anton is sleeping on base while Gideon is sleeping at home and only goes during the day. Pray for Anton as he needs to grow stronger in himself and believe in himself.

Please pray for Thearith and Thyda from Stung Treng. They became instant parents, last week. They found a premature new born baby in the village that was in not a good shape. The mum did not want the baby and they adopted the baby right away. They cannot have children and that is an answer to prayer for them. Baby Grahame is now in the hospital here in Siem Reap, while the doctors see how they can help him to get stronger. According to them, Grahame is doing just fine.
The doctor asked Thearith if they were Christians. When he said:””Yes””, the doctor said that a Buddhist will not take a baby like this. What a testimony for them in the hospital. Since then they could share with people and doctors about their faith. Love it when locals get the chance to tell fellow countrymen about God. Pray for them as they need to stay here for a while.

Our friends Jared and Emily, also from Stung Treng is currently in New Zealand or may I say that Emily is but Jared will be there by the end of the week. Pray that they will have a fruitful time back home and rest out for the next term that is lying ahead of them. They will be away from AOC for 2 months.

Our prayer for Syria this week:
Jeremiah 12:4   “How long will the land lie parched and the grass in every field be withered? Because those who live in it are wicked, the animals and birds have perished. Moreover, the people are saying, “He will not see what happens to us.””
Today I would like to pray for Turkey, temporary home to more than 2.7 million Syrian refugees. Jesus, people are saying, “God does not see what is happening to us.” People have taken matters into their own hands for they feel that You are not here. Father God, I love the stories from the Old Testament when a whole nation humbles themselves before You, repents, and asks You to come and change their situation! And You do! I pray that the people of Turkey would realize that their own efforts lead to futility. I pray that they would repent, turn from their ways, and call out to You. And Jesus, I pray that You, in Your mercy, would answer them!
I pray too for so many Syrians living in this land. They have moved from city to city and then changed countries in search for a place to lay their heads in peace. Jesus, I pray that as the ground beneath them is shaking once again, I pray that You would continue to call many… hundreds… thousands… ALL... into Your Kingdom!
Thank you so much for your prayers and checking if I’m fine. I am safe and surrounded by good praying people. The darker it gets the more people are drawn to the light. God bless you!!

Let us remember how the Lord loves us.
“For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, so that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life. John 3:16
