Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it have to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work ,where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Toinette is at home with the boys. Gideon is no longer with us but Anton will finish with Hope school this year and start online classes .Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers Feb. 23 2015

Just wondering today why the world is in such a mess???? Everywhere we turn, people get hurt, or when you look at the news its flooded with death and destruction of mankind. Around us the missionaries are getting hurt as well as good friends are not spared. All we can do is pray and ask God to intervene. Tonight, I come to you with a heavy heart.

We are asking prayer for McKenzie. We met her when she was just a wee little girl, in the Philippines. I included the updates as I got them:
I ask all my friends who are PRAYER WARRIORS to pray for this beautiful 18 year old. My friends, Mike Capka and Kim Van Dell Capka's daughter had a stroke yesterday. Please pray specifically for her brain surgery today (to relieve pressure) and for the doctors to have wisdom in how they treat her before, during, and after the surgery. Please pray for the family to see God's hand in everything and for them to experience the strength and peace that only the Lord Jesus Christ can provide. I can't begin to imagine everything they are going through, but God knows and loves them all. Her name is McKenzie Capka and I know her whole family would appreciate your prayers. Thanks all! Please comment where you were when you prayed so the family can see a map of everywhere their prayer warriors are!
Another update:Capka Family & Friends around the world: thank you so much for love, support and especially PRAYERS. We believe God is working with wonderful doctors to preserve her life and give her a future. Thank the Lord the surgery went as planned. The procedure was heart wrenching but absolutely needed to save her. A large portion of the left side of her skull was removed and slits were made in the membrane around her brain. This allows the pressure that was building to not push inward. The bone is being preserved and she will have a special helmet for the next several months. A later surgery will reattach the skull bone or an artificial skull cap. McKenzie's recovery right now (we are believing she will make it through the vital next few days by God's grace and continued prayer) will be extensive - likely a year or so. But she beat the odds to be with us right now and if I know my spirited daughter, she will amaze everyone and bring Glory to God through her life. Prayer got us this far, so PLEASE CONTINUE TO LIFT HER UP TO THE LORD. Specifically: continued healing and no more swelling - especially in the crucial next 48 hours, lift her spirit so she won't give up or become discouraged with the process, strength for us Parents, strength and power for Kailee and Mark her supportive siblings, and finally MIRACULOUS recovery in every way: speech, motor skills & mobility, and a renewed spirit and purpose in her life. We love Kenzie so much, and by your words, show of support, and earnest prayers you have shown us all how much you love her too. On behalf of our entire family THANK YOU for showing what the body of Christ is really all about.
We also want to continued prayers for Jonathan Smedley and his family. You remember that they had a very bad accident a while ago, up North in Ratanakiri. Currently they are in Thailand. Here's an update:
We have been trying to decide what to do for my wife, Kristen's hands.  It sounds like she will get the cast off and pins out in a couple of weeks.  She has a knuckle on her middle finger that either needs an artificial joint or the bones fused.  We haven't quite decided what to do.  The surgeon here in Chiang Mai doesn't think there is enough soft tissue to support an artificial joint.

Toinette is still struggling with swollen limfnodes and ear infections. How long this still need to continue. I put her on another batch of antibiotics as the first one did not work. Pray that she will get healed as she is not feeling good. At least its not all bad news. My therapist is very pleased with my leg, better he pleased than me, I have all the pain. Like they say:""If Physio does not hurt , its not Physio.""
Please pray for our trip into the bush, on Friday and Saturday. Taking Willem for some medical/Dental in the bush.

Do not get discourage because of all these things happening in the world today. God is still in control. Good things are happening and people still hear the Gospel. Lets go full blast and do not stop, till He comes again.
Love you all
Rossouw-clan
