Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it have to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work ,where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Toinette is at home with the boys. Gideon is no longer with us but Anton will finish with Hope school this year and start online classes .Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers Feb.20 2012

Our dear family and friends

Yes, it is definitely warming up here in Cambodia, April (hot season) is crawling nearer and as if not enough we've been having power cuts every day, sometimes 2 x a day for a few hours each time. And then just as you went from complaining in your heart to actually complaining to a fellow sufferer, you listen to an excellent  sermon on "Being Content"  God really is the perfect parent !

We ask your prayer for the following:

1. Pastor Kea shared with Mordegai this week that the church is growing in Torpeang Russey, where he has frequent outreaches with Pastor Kea's lay pastors. It's hard for Mordegai to sit at home waiting to heal and not be out there. This has happened many times, when Mordegai went home for furlough etc then there is growth and fruit on the work. Please continue to pray for Pastor Kea, Pastor John and the new believers. For frequent spiritual feeding and nurturing, also for protection.Ignite the World Missions has donated money to us again for more wells and toilets in these areas. Thank God for His faithful provision.

2. Value Life Clinic:  After listening to the visual bible stories on Saturday mornings, the moms and children can now also receive a "spa lice treatment " at our clinic :-)  They love their shiny lice free hair.
Please pray for Peack (Diamond). He is 3 months old and very malnourished. His mom first brought him to the clinic at 1 day old, then we immediately transported him to hospital as he was very lethargic and cyanotic (blue). He was on O2 in hospital but the mother left the hospital the next day, saying she was not comfortable in the hospital. We've tried to see baby frequently. His mother says she doesn't want him, her other children are in orphanage. We are concerned that she might not be feeding him enough and he has facial features pointing towards fetal alcohol syndrome. We need to pray earnestly and ask God's wisdom. Kerri and Meng (the social work team of the clinic) will go for a home visit this week.

3. Hope School has Camp week this week. Gideon and Anton's year groups are camping at school. Toinette need to help full time at the school this week. Watching Gideon in school has brought a deeper realization of how much he has to face each day, it is not easy for him and you can see how he has to calm himself down many times, how he struggles with all the stimulation. His classmates love him and we thank God for the children who really reach out to Gideon. Please pray for our little soldier. We thank God that Anton's fevers has stopped and last night was the first night without fever since Wednesday night.

Thank you for your faithfulness and obedience in prayer.
Much love
Mordegai, Toinette, Gideon and Anton
