Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it have to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work ,where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Toinette is at home with the boys. Gideon is no longer with us but Anton will finish with Hope school this year and start online classes .Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Monday night prayers May 02'2011

Well here I am, sitting in my own sweat in front of a fan plus a roof fan on. Wow how hot can it be??? Seems to me the rain do not want to come, clouds gathered but no rain yet. And then in some parts of the world we have to much rain........I thought that I would never hear a Namibia say that they had enought rain, but seem to me that some people had enough with rains that we are not use to. Like we say here:"When it flood, just live with it till it's over."

On this Monday night I have a couple of things for you guys to ponder on. My head is spinning with thought on how to help people that is so much in need. Every day we hear the horrific stories of people in need and that is people that is just around us, but then on the other hand we hear such miracles happening that it blows your mind. On Saturday a girl entered the Valuelife Clinic and Toinette is saying :"She looked bad." She was barely walking and limping into the clinic. Very heavily pregnant and not a good condition for her and her baby. Upon asking when she last eat, she replied that it was long time since she ate something, she think more than 2 days ago. Toinette gave some water but her other child took the glass away and gulp the water up. They then bought some food for the girl to take home and eat. She then came back a bit later and was in real pain, maybe early delivery. They rushed her to hospital but they released her again as they could not find anything wrong. This is not the first time that happenend. Thank God for the clinic to help ladies in desperate need.

We accompany my good friend Brett Medlin to the Rock Mountain or Quarry. There he help the people with practical Christianity. Cooking a big pot of soup every Friday to feed the people as well as build some shelter for them to work under. I cannot think how they can survive as they need to break big rocks into small stones to sell. I small truck (1400kg) full of rock is worth U$10. It take them almost 1 month to load up one truck by themselves. Most of the ladies do not have husbands as the trend here is that the husband ran away when the wife is pregnant and just leave her to fend for herself. We want to build a well for them but they do not have husbands to help dig the well, so we need to come up with a new idea. We did a small medical outreach there the other day with all the Midwife students and were surprise to see how much these girls learn in these months they were trained under Toinette. To God all the Glory. I must stress the fact that we can work together to further God's Kingdom. When I am there I can count a lot of different people that are involved. Brett's heart is to help the people and build relationships with them in order to present God in a loving and caring way. Check out his web page as well as a video of his work:

As a family we are doing pretty ok. Toinette is very busy with things at the clinic as well as training the girls. Gideon finds it hard to study in the nights and Maths a real stumble block for him. Please pray that he can start to understand the concept of plus and minus.... My o my, if I think how bad I was in Maths , I have sympathy for him...... Small Anton, or not so small anymore, is doing good and is correcting us all the time on our language. this little English guy is speaking a language that we do not know, I always struggles to speak the language called , English........ Please still pray for Toinette's Hip as she experience a lot of pain. According to the Xray she have Aseptic Necrosis of the hip. That means that a small piece of bone is dead inside and they can only treat it by drinking pain reliever or later a hip replacement. Well it's not that bad yet, but it is painful . Pray that God will heal her completely.

Ok enought to ponder on. Check out some latest pictures of Mordegai's trip into the unknown.
