Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it have to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work ,where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Toinette is at home with the boys. Gideon is no longer with us but Anton will finish with Hope school this year and start online classes .Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Whatever Lord Sept 2010

I was shocked to enter a village so dirty and so poor and that is a place where they have lots of gold and crystals. The people came from everywhere and you can see the hard work on their faces. Children have no clothes on and sick as can be. Garbage everywhere and dogs walking or say I say falling around. I came to the realization that someone is taking advantage of people that have no means to get out selling their gold or crystals. There are no better word than “”Slavery” that pops up in my mind. I am getting ahead of myself….

It’s that time of the year where we have the team of Mike from-Ignite the World Ministries(http://www.ignitetheworldministries.org/ ), with us. This time around only 3 people came and that was Carl and his father in law, Charl as well as Mike. They are from Oregon in the good old US of A. We are partnering together to reach the lost for God. Our first stop was in Thor Piang Rosey. We helped with 4 wells in an attempt to get clean water to the people. The build the wells themselves and we only supplied the materials. I worked out pretty nice. I did some needed medical stuff with the help of Eliane while the other guys prayed for people and visit with the kids. We also gave out some needed clothes as well as rice to the poorest families. The people were very organized and I was really impressed by what we see there.

Our next stop was just another 30km further to Kabal Domrey. I did some Dental work there to a very few people, while Mike and his team did some teaching in the church. Later I show a good movie-“”God’s must be Crazy””, of course. We went to bed early as the next day was a real adventure. In the morning, after a good breakfast we were on the road, only with the Landy, to the forest. We were not really sure where we suppose to go to but we soon found out that we were in for a real adventure. I will say nothing about the road in, see for yourselves by the pictures (http://mordegai-whateverlord.blogspot.com/ ). Only 25km and 4 hours later we were in Nin. What a sorrowful place. The pastor from Kabal Domrey is trying to make an impact to the people in the jungle as there are no Christians. Our visit there will prove to be a real key in his outreach there. We kicked off by doing some needed medical stuff and some children ministry which followed by a small teaching. You could say the word was something like:” The Gospel for dummies.”” the message was simple but effective. People need to know who this Jesus is first before they can hear a lot more. People here are simple people and most of them are illiterate as well.

Mike brought some Solar Bible Players with the Bible in Khmer. You only put it a couple of hours in the sun and it’s good to play for a couple of hours. This prove to be a very exciting tool as people can sit back and listen to the bible now instead of reading it. Before we left we gave out some clothes again and some very needed rice. Everyone was so happy.

We went back to Phnom Penh and the next day we were off to Pre Veng. Gideon came with us as we were just there for one day. He enjoyed it so much. He was about to have fun in the rice fields. Holly is doing a teaching for the kids every Saturday and after that we did a medical outreach with Mike and Nick doing some teaching on the Word. Lots of people are exposed there as this little project is growing by a lot of people. The Lord is really working in the hearts of people in Pre Veng. It was a nice day by caring for the people in whole, humanitarian as well is spiritual. We believe in helping the whole person and not just hitting people with the Bible over the head, kind of outreach.

It was a good week, packed full of adventure as well as a lot of involvement with the people we love so much. It was exciting to see respond to the Word of God and see people enjoy the way we treat them. We can just ask God to teach us how to be humble for Him.

May God Bless you in this time
