Medical to the remote

This Blog is all about the work of God. Nothing we do is without the knowledge of our Father. He is the soul provider for everything we do.
We are Mordegai, Toinette, Suzaan, Gideon and Anton Rossouw from Namibia-Africa. . This Blog is all about our lives here in Cambodia while Suzaan works in South Africa. We are real Farmers from Africa and we love life and what it have to offer and enjoy it day by day.

Mordegai travels to remote villages, doing much needed medical work ,where no other doctors go, with local pastors.

Toinette is at home with the boys. Gideon is no longer with us but Anton will finish with Hope school this year and start online classes .Toinette joins FGC Community Link Cambodia to the villages close by, teaching local children in an after school setting and also women about Health Issues in a village setting.

We consider us Asians as we live such a long time in Asia, eating rice as a staple food and not meat......

Our motto in life comes from a dear friend:

With common sense and God we
can accomplish a lot

Outreach with Ignite the World ministries

Well what a week this was. we were so busy that we just ran around and
past each other on the go. I was away for a whole week and Twans had
to keep the fort going with boys in school and a clinic that is
running. how she manage is just a wonder. she was tired when I came
back. She is indeed a wonder women, so close to my heart.

Thank God for a wonderful outreach with Ignite the World ministries.
Mike and his team of 3 came to Cambodia last year and we started a
partnership in reaching the lost with the love of Christ. Our first
stop was in Thor Piang Rosey. You will recognize this name as I
mention this a few times. We are currently helping to make wells and
do medical outreaches to the people. there are only 2 Christians
amongst 600 families. It was indeed good to see how the people
organize themselves even when we wanted to give out rice. Our friends
started to write down the names of the poorest families and only them
got the rice. It was good to see that they help each other. the love
of Christ is already shining through the darkness. The wells are
finished and we are looking at building one more in the village. We
are planning to equip a lay-pastor with a bike to come out 2x a week
to teach the Christians and interested people on a weekly basis. If
there are churches out there that want to participate, let me know and
I can give you all the details. This is indeed a good chance for a
small church to step in and help as this is not a lot of money.
From there we went to Kabal Domrey for the night. Mike did some
teaching in the church while I showed some movies. The next day we
went into the jungle to a place called Nin. the mountain is where they
are mining for gold and crystals. I keep from telling how the road
was, check the photos and make up your mind for yourself. It was only
25km and took us 4 hours to get there. It is my first time there and I
was amazed that so many people are there, mining. It is a real rundown
gold digging village, dirty as can be and the people, dirt poor. there
are no Christians and the pastor is trying to reach out to the people
with love and start a small group there. We started with some children
ministry and medical as well as giving clothes and rice. Everyone were
so happy as nobody come there and give free gifts. Needles to say it
cost us another 4 hours back and I had to do some repairs on the
Landy-minor off course only a steering rod that was bend. They
say-""the bigger the problem the bigger the hammer"" and the job was
done in a couple of seconds.

We also did a outreach to Pre Veng on Saturday. this time Gideon was
with and he enjoyed it a lot. We could help a lot of people, pray for
the sick and give out a lot of medicines to the sick people. Holly
from Water of Life is running a weekly program there as she and Channa
and Ticon is teaching the children every Saturday. We gave out some
nice bread to eat and preach the good news via Ps. Hung. He is really
a funny guy and such a preacher. Later he came to help me do some
medical stuff. Fun guy to have around.

Tomorrow will be Anton's birthday and he will be 5 years old. the
little man is so happy but he is also a bit sick. Pray for him as he
is really getting a lot from school. He is a eager learner and come
home everyday with a new song or rhyme. Tonight he kneel down and pray
that the Lord need to help him to be 5 years old and that he can also
play with Gideon. Thank God for the boys that is doing good in school.

Please still pray for Toinette's back. She still have a lot of pain
sitting. Please also pray for one of her students that is not doing
good. She want to divorce her husband and 2 year old child. Now the
husband is threatening her that he will put acid in her face if she do
it. Pouring acid on someone is an old practice here in Cambodia that
they cannot do anything about. You can just hire someone to pour acid
over the person that do you wrong.

Life goes on here in Cambodia and the things we need to deal with is
such a shame some times. We are encourage by a lot of friends and keep
the fire going. God is our light and salvation.

Have a blessed week
Mordegai for us all
